DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! His crew did work on my place about 10 years ago, they built my carport and a new roof on the house. They could not fix the leak after many no shows and 2 years, I gave up and paid another roofer $2600 to fix it. Carpenter showed up to work on the carport without a hammer so I gave him one, he had 1/4 in gaps on mitered cuts and he filled them with puddy. 1 sheeting was upside down showing the painted green side. 1 gable board on the back end of the carport has a massive knot at the center that exploded, needs to be replaced. One side of a large beam had checks so bad that I took a hand plane to take them down so they don't fill up with water, he could have put that side facing in to be out of the weather. Why I'm angry again is because my Son was in a crawl space upstairs and noticed a another small leak. I checked the roof and noticed no shingles missing and or damage, now thinking it's coming from around the chimney because the leak is right there, maybe never properly sealed. I have to call another roofer. I just heard that his lead roofer is still with him. Mark is a nice guy but has no pride in his craftsmanship or respect for his customers.

No, please don't hire him. There is no set stage's of construction and Mark is always after the money he would put drywall up before electrical and plumbing if it meant getting a stage completion done so he could get paid for it. And then work backwards blowing deadline after deadline just to get paid. Their is no organization, and comfort construction knows it.

Don't Contract............This contractor is the worst experience I have had. I bought a home in which Comfort Construction put on a new roof. It has been leaking since being purchased. The first time I contacted Mark he was very rude. He sent out Ruben and Glen to take a look at the roof. They were at my residence for two hours in which they did not repair the leak in the roof. I have contacted Mark via text and voicemail (its always full) with no response for over 5 days. PLEASE BEWARE...THIS CONTRACTOR IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Mark told me he was friends with the previous owner and he had just installed a new roof for their mother. Funny because their friends NEVER called him to do any repairs on their roof. Maybe it's because Mark's company is 2 hours away. I wouldn't even give him one star.

I had a roof done by Comfort Construction. I was please with the work done, extremely fast, but I'm still waiting for him to come back and finish the trim around the two skylights he replaced. After a few emails and text messages from him saying he'll be by next weekend, in a couple days, whatever you want, he's a no-show. It's been two months and I've given up. Lesson learned... get a very detailed quote IN WRITING.

Roof Inspection Warren, Oregon (Feb 23, 2015)
Oregon Roof Consulting (ORC) inspected this 5-year-old roof in Warren, Oregon on February 23, 2015. A real cowboy job. The owners ceilings were falling to the floor. This roof has been leaking from Day #1. I consulted with the regional rep of the shingle manufacturer and a local building inspector. It is not remotely close to Oregon code or manufacturer's specs and must be torn off and re-done, correctly this time! Here are the issues found: Staples were used. Oregon Residential Specialty Code Chapter 9 Section 905 requires nails only.
The staples were too short. They don't penetrate far enough into the deck.
The roof has two layers of shingles. The slope was 2 1/2 in 12 which is too low for overlay. It just doesn't work. The shingles cupped and water was seeping in sideways and entering via the shingle end joints.
On slopes between 2/12 & 4/12 a peel & stick ice and water membrane or double felt must be applied. In order to achieve this the old roofing must be removed in order to have a smooth flat clean surface. Every Contractor (4) that seen this roof failure, all told us the same thing. Bad job and can only be fixed by completely tearing off and starting over and doing it right. We would not recommend Mark Comfort Construction to any one.We received a settlement from Comfort Construction for $6,500.00. It will not cover all the damage and pay for the Lawyers fees, but at least now we can move forward and replace the roof. He only wanted to patch spots and Oregon Roof Consulting and Inspection and the Local building inspector along with four (4) other Contractors told us the same thing..Must be completely torn off and replaced, that is the only way to stop the leaking.

Mark Comfort is hiring illegal aliens from Mexico, some who are using welfare on the side along with the money they get from Mark.

Great work ethic, fast, courteous, and reasonable rates. Came back to do a quick roof repair on a job done 15 years ago at no charge. Repair due to heavy moss growth - nothing to do with his work. What more could you ask for ?

Mark Comfort Construction has performed many jobs at my house including roofing, siding and rot repair. Mark was timely, professional, and extremely reasonable. I called him with a roof leak and in the midst of his busy schedule, his team stopped everything and came to my rescue!. My husband and I were very pleased with the quality of his work and now he made us a priority. Thanks Mark for doing such a great job. We are blessed to have you in our community.

I am still waiting (for over two years now) for Mr Comfort to come back and make everything right he started on my house job he was hired for. House should have been leveled BEFORE not AFTER redoing the entire foundation/skirting....

Mr Comfort TRIPLE billed me for work he performed, was supposed to come back and do other work he started and failed to do so. (found out recently this work he was supposed to come back and do, should have been done BEFORE NOT AFTER the other work he did. After 3 other contractors looked at the work that was done, they all told me I was triple charged and he should have done some other work before doing the work he was hired for. *cries.

Do not know Mark Comfort, His business has close the sidewalk off for now 4 day's. I have not been approached by anyone about the side walk closer. This company also cut's corners as they do not follow industries standards the blow contaminants all over the street the pedestrians benches. This should be tented and done in a reasonable time. They should have notified the affected merchants, they did not do.
Overall this is a one man show that is unable to preform correctly and safely
Should be fine as I am sure he is violating many law's and industry procedures..

Mark is a pleasure to work with - very nice and on time. We had a list of things to do before our house closed and he came through for us on time and at the cost he quoted. He was very reasonably priced as well. It was the busy season, and he made everything happen on time.
I would hire him in an instant.

Mark provided two small porches for my elderly dad. When my dad asked about the price he was told “don’t worry, I’ll give you a good price”. No written bid was provided. A week later the rotten boards and steps are still in the backyard, and the leftover wood is still in the side of the house. I left a VM, no luck. No active social media, no email. I leave a FB message on his wife’s FB. Instead of apologizing for all the things they left in the backyard and the wood in the side yard, causing a tripping hazard, she complains I messenger in a Sunday. She is under no obligation to respond on a Sunday or at all. I’m just trying to get their trash picked up.
