It was a pleasure having Markus do work for us. Efficient comes to mind. Responded quickly when called and was able to do the job on the same day......WOW. We recommend him highly.

If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. Markus was outwardly friendly but very unprofessional. He did not listen to the few requests I gave him. When removing a doorway he began to fill in the wrong doorway. He apologized, and said he would correct the damage, but did a poor job. Now, a year later, the wall is sinking in where the opening once was. While creating a new archway he used an unfinished plank as a saddle. A hired painter working for him got primer on the saddle. Markus said he would replace it and never did. The seams of the archway molding are mismatched and not finished properly. In the bathroom Markus did not measure after I'd asked him to do so. I gave him the info on the fixtures we wanted and asked him to double check the size. He did not. The fixtures sat in my garage for weeks before he was ready to install. On the day of instalation the sink did not fit. If he had measured we could have caught it much earlier and corrected it. He had to go to Home Depot and got any old sink to go in the bathroom. I was pregnant during the remodeling and explained to Markus that the project needed to be done by mid July. August began and the project was not done. This is just a few of the list of issues.

I wish I could also give him a lower rating. I found Mr. Achenbach under the handyman listing, (since I couldn't find my usual handyman) to remove the air conditioner from my bedroom window. He wanted to charge me $125 just for that, and I said no. We haggled some more he said $70-80. I still said no, and he suggested that I might try to find a college student. I said thank you & ended the call. He called me back shortly after that and said he would send his son and for the price I told him that I paid my handyman. They came and took the air conditioner out very quickly I asked them to put it the box which I had gotten out of the closet for them, they put the unit in the box with the side sticking out so much that I couldn't even close the box. When I Markus to reposition the unit in the box, he refused and said we've gotta go, leaving me to have to take the unit out of the box and reposition it so that I could seal it up to store it away until next year. They couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes at the most, but what really made me mad, was the sloppy way they put the air conditioner in the box & just left it. If I knew they were going to do something like that- I would NEVER have paid them what I did. I will NEVER call them again.
