    Hurricane repairs, including roof
    $50,000

Company pulled permits to reroof our home 2yrs ago after initially being tied up in insurance litigation for 2 yrs... now 4 years later we still have no roof on our home, permits are expired, further damage is occurring and our phone calls not being returned. This company is sitting on over 35k of our money and doing nothing and it seems our hands are tied because we gave them assignment of benefit. When is enough enough? We want to go with another company and disolve Marlin of their obligation but we can't even do that now because they will keep funds. Complete frauds in my book. We are now working with a lawyer to find out what out next step is. Stay far away from these guys, especially if you are dealing with insurance companies. This was initially how they reeled us in with their broken promises.

    Replace home roof
    $30,000

Marlin is exactly what they sound like, Fraudsters, and the owner is making out like bandits by overcharging and threatening insurance company with law suits in order to reach hefty settlements. Initially Gabe Cohen, one of their salesmen told us the product was warrantied for 30 years. A month after job completed and personal property damaged by non speaking workers carelessness. MARLIN arbitrarily decided cost they would pay. Regardless of replacement cost. Owner called yelling and threatening to put lien on our house and hung up on me. I requested a final invoice detailing expenses incurred, Atty to threaten insurance company to pay for roof by lying and reporting wind damage caused by wind storm on a certain date in February 2021. The name of company who sold Marlin our roofing product used, and WARRANTY PAPERWORK. A so called owner called me and was belligerently yelling and threatening that unless he gets his additional $800 from us, he's putting a lien on our house. Any good reviews you read have been written by Marlin employees. Attorney General of Florida has dozens of consumer complaints alleging the same fraudulent scheme perpetrated against naive home owners. The scum bag owner who threatened me is going to be very disappointed that my husband and I arent emotely intimidated by his big mouth promises to further harass, threaten and fraudulently file bs lien on our home after People's insurance paid nearly $30,000 for asphalt shingle roof on 2500 square ft roof with zero warranty on product and workmanship, and never providing us a bill, and damaging personal property on our lanai.. This company has hundreds of complaints, committed fraud on dozens of insurance companies, often same company dozens of times. Insurance companies have lost $100 000's of thousands of dollars, Causing home insurance rates to sky rocket. Our insurance company dropped us immediately after sending check for full payment of replacement which we were required to sign and hand over to Marlin without any work being initiated. But scamming major insurance companies isn't enough for Marlin Construction Company, they have held home owners hostage for more money or threats of continued harassment by lawyers on retainer to assist in their efforts to intimidate owners to pay up what they demand or else.
Now it's time to collaborate testimony, report to Atty General of Florida who has ongoing investigation open on Marlin to close down this blatantly illegal front of a business responsible for extorting millions of dollars and prosecute owners who have intentionally and maliciously schemed and planned this extensive scam which has been going on for years. Enough is enough. Would you have ever personally done business with any company under their specific demands? Would you pay a company's quote in full and up front before permits even pulled? Would you spend $20-50 000 for an important investment in your homes improvement without expecting any warranty?
How did this happen? ? Because they are professional crooks, thieves and liars and we were naive and trusting. How dare this loser call me yelling screaming and threatening to file a lien on us!!! Seriously?? They can do as they please because I'm coming after them now!

    Replace my roof

Marlin Construction Group did what they said they would do. They replaced my roof, got my insurance company to pay $15,700 for it, and all I owed was my $3,500 deductible. The process took a few months because the insurance company dragged their feet, but I saved $12,200 on a roof that I needed. Definitely worth the wait.

    $9,000

Do not go with this company. They are very unprofessional and shady. Our friend recommended them to us because she received a free roof due to storm damage. We contacted them and they told us the same thing. They would get the insurance company to pay for a complete new roof and we would not have to pay the deductible. The first contact my husband signed did not mention the deductible when he reviewed it. But then they asked him to sign electronically a second contract since we are out of town. My husband did not read this one and signed it. Only after they put the roof on did we find out we owed for the deductible. They switch the contract on us and screwed us over. They also took three months to complete the work which was ridiculous. We found out a couple months later they put a lien on our house. We contacted a lawyer since they were threatening to sue us. We tried many times to settle with them but now they want even more money. Our lawyer has reached out to them and their lawyer but they will not call us back or work with us. Save yourself a lot of money and headaches by going to a different company.

    roof replacement
    $16,000

They promised me that "the insurance would cover everything" except $1000.00 because they would get it approved as a Windstorm damage. After 3 months waiting I find out that the insurance would only give me $4000 of the $16,000 requested by Marlin and had deemed it hurricane damage. This meant I would have to come up with more than $4000 since the insurance said it was only worth approximately $8400. Then I found out my 73 year old neighbor friend who had used them to reroof her house got threatened and sworn at over the phone because the insurance didn't pay them fast enough. Two weeks later they put a lien on her house because the insurance company hadn't sent them the check yet!*** Do NOT use these people, they try to defraud your insurance company and then when the insurance company doesn't fall for it, you have to pay for your OVERPRICED roof

    new roof
    $25,000

This company installed a new roof on my home. No problems so far. But in the process of installing the roof they damaged my rain gutters. I have made several attempts to have Marlin CG repair them but they still are damaged and not functioning as before. I expect to have to go to court to get the gutter repairs done. This is a very difficult company to deal with. I would not recommend them to anyone.
