  Build a pool and spa

  Mike Mojica is a crook, plain and simple. I hired Mike & Maroon Pools to build a pool in an investment/flip house project I took on in July 2020. At first everything went very well. Mike had the hole dug, rebarred & plumbed within a few weeks. But that’s literally all he’s done. I paid him in accordance with the signed contract we have together, but Mike felt he’s above everyone else & decided he’d use COVID as an excuse to run off with $32,900 of my money that I worked hard to earn. Mike has no intentions of returning phone calls, texts messages, acknowledging legal paperwork or anything that a good human being would. The pile of excuses I received is laughable. To this day Mike has not set foot back on the job site. I have been unable to sell this house now because of the ugly, water logged, mess of a hole in the background. I’ve received complaints from neighbors & the city because of this matter & the “mosquito infestation” it has manifested. I have now had to take on the additional cost of refilling the hole that was once on its way to becoming my “new pool” because I cannot afford to throw any more money at this project. Mike has taken it upon himself to completely drain me of any available money I may have once had to remediate this problem.

  Mike believes his needs outweigh his PAYING customers. He admitted to spending my money (obviously not on the pool I paid for though). This has by far been the worst experience of my lifetime. Owning a small business is all about having a good reputation. Mike lacks neither a good reputation, moral character or even a low set of standards. He’s the worst person I have ever dealt with, period. It’s sad that I’m being punished for being too trusting of someone. A person I signed a contract with for an exchange of services for cash. Mike’s personal needs clearly outweigh mine & the money that belongs to me.

  I will file a lawsuit. But, knowing Mike, it’ll only end up costing me more of my hard earned money & hell just and up filing for bankruptcy in order to skirt the system. I sill do everything in my power to get my money back & to make sure no one ever has to deal with the misfortune of working with this crook.

  Do not trust Mike with even a single cent of your money. He’ll take it and run. I now know this to be fact for myself & MULTIPLE other paying clients of Mike’s. Mike, you deserve to be ran out of town without a single penny in your personal savings. What you have done is the epitome of cowardice.

  Pool

  I don't even know where to start! I think the owner is a scam artist and should be put in jail for the amount of money he has essentially stolen from clients. He started our project, left a huge hole in the ground, came back with a pump put rebar in and then that was it. He was gone - days turned into weeks and months and no one word except for he would be here "soon" or "ASAP". For over 100 days hole in the ground filled with water bending and rusting all the rebar that was placed. Finally fired maroon and are no out over $11,000 that we will never see again. From people I have spoken too it could have been worse because they are out significantly more money and time than we are. I think Mike from Maroon pools should NEVER be allowed to operate a pool business again. Be careful also as he seems to be changing his business name and going by something other than MAROON POOLS -
  We have seen Maroon and White and who knows what else.

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
  RUN RUN RUN!!! Do not make the mistake of giving this company your money. If you are building a pool this is NOT THE COMPANY YOU WANT!!
  Maroon Pools will talk a great game and tell you how good he his compared to every other pool company out there but when it comes time to get something done you will find out that it is all lies. All you will get is ZERO communication, missed start dates, destroyed property, and wasted time. That is exactly what I got out of my journey with Mike and Maroon Pools. I also got a hole in my back yard, with an insufficient amount of rebar required for the job . As soon as Mike got the money he ghosted / ignored me for months! Then there are the angry contractors who worked for (Mike) Maroon Pools. The contractors contacted me looking for payment, telling me that Mike refused to pay them for their services after I paid Mike the money. I gave this guy opportunity after opportunity to complete this job to no avail. I made a HUGE MISTAKE using this guy!! Do not make the same MISTAKE that I and many other made!!

  Build a pool

  It took 20 months to get enough work done to even get water in the pool. We bought our own equipment, he installed half and didn’t use gfci breakers. We aren’t up to code. We have had to fix everything from pavers, the spa blower, breakers, lighting. The list goes on and on. We finally fired him.
