Do not ever hire or work for Ray Calogero of Marquis Construction license number 13VH05054600. The address he uses 5 Bowling Green Pkwy, Suite A104 Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 is actually a PO Box at Post Net. His real address is 16 Commodore Dr. Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849. We contracted with him for a second story build up. Paid him over $88,000.00 and had to fire him due to substandard work, slow work, no siding for 4 months, not paying his subcontractors. We paid on time and as agreed. We even accidentally over paid him. We never received a refund for services we paid for but never received. This is called theft of services. According to our attorney he violated a number of contract laws also. We did not take legal action against him because we chose to use our money to finish our home and not give our money to lawyers. We suspect Mr. Calogero does not have any money to pay us back, so taking him to court would be a waste of time and money. His home was in pre-foreclosure. He probably used our money to get out of foreclosure. We filed a Complaint with Consumer Affairs. An attorney at Consumer Affairs is working on it. I don't know how he does not get fined. He should have his contractor's license revoked!

never hire this guy, he is a crook. I hired him for a remodel and he was horrible. 6 months over schedule. had to hire others to finish. had to threaten law suit..
