I signed a contract with Martin Cabinets in June 2021 with an expected arrival/installation date of the end of September 2021. I am completely understanding that we are in the middle of a pandemic and that things can happen that you don’t plan for. Having said that I fully expect proper communication when delays happen. The cabinets arrived in October, only three weeks past the expected date and I must say they are well-made and absolutely beautiful. They did not finish on the day they came and said they would have to come back to finish. I started calling them within one week to try to find out the date they would come back as I needed to let my uncle, who was my contractor, put it in his calendar. I called back a second time the following week and let them know what dates worked well . The lack of communication is extremely disrespectful to me, it took many phone calls and emails to finally get a date as to when they were going to come back and finish the job. They returned one month later, so November to finish the job however had the wrong size trim. They were going to have to come back again. I immediately started calling to ask for a date so that it could be scheduled into my uncle‘s calendar and my calendar. It again took multiple phone calls and emails. They finally finished a month after the November timeframe. I have to say that I would not be able to give them beyond three stars, and honestly the three stars are because the cabinets are beautiful. If I had to rate just on customer communication I would probably give 1 to 2 stars at best. I feel it’s important for a business to provide not just their knowledge but also good communication. I have had people at work see my kitchen and comment on how great the cabinets are and ask me if I would recommend Martin Cabinets and sadly I have to say no . I hope that they read some of their reviews and improve upon their communication because if they do that they will be an excellent well-rounded business. I do feel it’s important to note that they went through a few hardships where A great deal of their staff who make the cabinets left, which left them scrambling to fulfill orders, and a great deal of workers ended up with Covid. I could’ve been OK with those two things had there’s simply been thoughtful and timely communication.
