I engaged with Martin Lawn Services (Doug) in April, 2022 and provided a 1/3 deposit of $4,150.00. Work was to start by 9/1/22. Long story short, always gave excuses and strung me out. Ghosted me for several weeks in the fall. He finally agreed to refund my deposit late November 2022 when it was obvious he would never start the work. Then he blamed his accountant. Doug has never returned the deposit. He will string you out and is extremely dishonest and unethical. Doug did nothing and owes me $4,150.00. Doug also lost a civil case (I was awarded judgment) and he still has not paid.

My experience with Doug Martin Landscaping is one of the worst I’ve had with any contractor. We contracted to have a partially covered patio and retaining wall completed on a new home build. Contract was signed in April 2022, and it has been the definition of over-promise and under-deliver. We were told work would start at the latest July 18th, 2022 but Doug threw in that there was a great chance it would start by the 4th of July. The contract says the project should take 3 weeks, and Doug assured it would be a max of 6 with any possible delays. Work began on August 25th and has stopped for the the last month. At this point, the project might be ½ complete. There has been contact from Doug for a month, and it's become pretty clear that he had no intention of finishing the project. I believe he underquoted the job from the start with no intention to finish, just to take some of my money and run after the easier part of the job was done.

Extremely professional and got our job done earlier than expected. Provided fair bid. Doug was awesome!
