I gave Harbor Bay Pools one star because I had to give them something to generate the review. They deserve no stars. They take your money and provide no service. They do not show up for work and do not return calls. I contracted them in 12/2011 build a pool, gave the required 4,100.00 deposit and by the middle of March, they dug my pool, incorrectly, even after we complained and requested someone come down to check it. The pool was dug incorrectly and formed backwards, two steps up instead of two steps down from our lanai. It had to be corrected. After forming and before the shell they required another 16,000.00 which I paid in good faith. They never returned to do the job. They blamed the wait on the gunite companies scheduling. I called the company myself on 4/19 and they said they had our plans but were not contacted by Harbor Bay. They said Harbor Bay must pay up front. I paid for it, another 4100.00 and had it done the following morning. I found out they also have not paid the rental company for the backhoe and I do not have a release of lien. The bill is another 1800.00. I have since dismissed them and requested a refund of 14,000.00 which is what is due to us minus the 15% cancellation fee. I have not heard from them and will need to take them to court. I did some research and found several judgments file against them and open permits,where some have been sitting for up to a year. Do yourself a big favor and pass on them. Find another pool company to build your pool and save yourself a lot of heartache.

Just like the review above I had to give 1 star to be able to make these remarks. Kevin Martz should be charged for fraud and sent to jail. He took a $2800 cash deposit from me and I feel lucky compared to so many other trusting consumers out there that he has swindled hundreds of thousands of dollars out of. I cancelled pool construction before he could get another penny after reading nightmare testimonials on Angie's List. The City of Port St. Lucie needs to step up and make sure that this crook is put out of business permanently which means unable to operate under any other company name.
