We cannot recommend Matthew Figlietti for any contractor work. We hired him for a recent project that was completed at more than twice the quoted amount and took nearly a year to complete (estimated 2-3 months). He failed to manage permit issues, did not coordinate subcontractors effectively, and did not provide any quality control. The collateral damage associated with this project was tremendous and was enabled by his lack of supervision. We were left with a tremendously expensive project that has huge flaws: crooked walls, gaps below the baseboards, floors that are not flat. Terribly disappointed.

We hired Matt and team to completely rebuild the back stairwell of our 3 story (6 unit) building in San Francisco. He and his associates were punctual, respectful and super communicative throughout the process of the project. His quote candidly was 2x what the original contractor quoted us but when reviewing the plans, it was thorough down to the detailed supply/materials list estimates and by the city code which made us feel like we knew what we were paying for. They followed through and kept the entire project within the estimated timeline (pretty fast for all of the demolition and rebuild in the height of the delay for many other contractors) and they kept tidy in our building and yard for the 5 weeks it took to rebuild.
Matt answered all of our questions, was accessible whenever needed and also easy to work with on coordinating 6 units' schedules for different building milestones. We enjoyed working with them that we asked them to help with another internal stairwell project that was more of a plaster patch and paint job - which they did in a matter of 3 days and within the quoted budget as well.
I highly recommend them!
