I was recommended Max from family but turned out to be a mistake. He replied to questions on timelines of when things would be accomplished but on multiple occasions would not show and no update given.
The work to be accomplished was pour of a 10'x20' concrete patio pad. He had mentioned sending documentation but nothing was sent after multiple request to get paperwork. His response "I will send you the contract in few minutes" or "I will send it to your email here shortly".
I had submitted full payment and it was only two days (Oct 17) before he had his crew work on framing and level the area for the pad. My initial request was to get a sprinkler box rotate because it would be a couple inches within the perimeter of the pad, this was not accomplished and an indent in the pad is what he did instead. The workers had removed a few sections of grass and had piled it up and had not disposed of it.
Now waiting on concrete it was not until Nov 3, approx. 2.5 weeks later when he was able to get a concrete truck out to pour the pad. I do think he knows his knowledge on how to pour and quality since the pad looks fine and I have seen his work at my family's house but this was the last time he has been to the house. No clean up was done, there was concrete pebbles left along the path from where the truck boom was pouring into wheelbarrows. The framework and railroad spike supports had been left in place.
I had asked when things would be accomplished and first response was morning of Nov 18th, when no one showed I asked again and it was morning of Nov 25th, and yet no show again. Last time is asked it would be Dec 4th. Still a no show.
End result is I had to perform the cleanup myself and get rid of the boards and stakes. Then perform the move of the sprinkler box myself. Bottom line is we had agreed on the work to be accomplished and he did not perform to all that was to be done. I had paid him to get the job done so cleanup should not be something i had to worry about. He was not good at giving good dates on when jobs would be accomplished and no updates when it was not, just excuses and "it will be tomorrow" replies. The valley has alot of other contractors so keep look for others, if he has alot of jobs on his plate he should have just said he did not have time for mine small project.
