Run as fast as you can! We had the misfortune to use Mazzella Mechanical to install a brand new 18 seer AC unit in our house. He charged $8k+ and complained he only made 40% profit.
It gets worse: The unit he sold and installed was 12 months old and not current stock. During the first 2 years the unit stopped working (circuit board issues) on average every 2-3 weeks during the summer. The company owner refused to come & service so we had to use other companies for service. The cooling unit was leaking so we had to refill the gas every 4 months and then had to pay over $800 to replace the cooling unit plus labor thru another AC repair person. He refused to replace the cooling unit or the circuit board evening knowing they were bad and failing.
Recommendation: DO not use this company nor the owner for any AC work.

Mechanical - so far circuit board replaced, cooling unit replaced due to leaks, refilled 8 times, not reliable
Attitude: Poor - complains a lotMazzella Mechanical was so embarrassed by the poor quality that they never claimed this job under their list of work completed.
Response from Mazzella Mechanical Inc March 15, 2022Anonymous had his system installed in 2010. With all rebates he paid less than $6000 for his 20 seer ruud split system. His original air handler was in the ceiling in garage but whem the ceiling collapsed due to a condensate drain backup i installed the new airhandler on a stand in the garage. After this installation this customer would occasionally call me late on Friday nights complaining and verbally abusing me about being overcharged. Anonymous said his neighbor had his 4 ton system replaced for $4000 But what he didn't realize was his neighbor's unit was the 13 seer system.The circuit board did not fail until 8 years after the installation in 2018 and when he callled and asked for a board i was very reluctant to comply because of his previous abuse.
