If you're undecided on which contractor to use to build your garage - let this review be your final deciding factor- Mike and his team is AMAZING.
I don't know where to begin but thought it was important for anyone out there to know the following about this contractor:1. Mike was very responsive, even from the beginning. I was living in Texas when I was doing my search, flying in and out of VA Beach for close to 3 months, and called approximately 9 contractors (of all sorts). MC Builders not only had the most competitive pricing but he specializes in building garages - not someone who dabbled in various construction projects. And the garage is evidence of this - even my inspector walked in and said "wow" because of how perfect the garage was built.
2. Mike was always very clear up front about pricing and expectations. Even when we were faced with any sort of limitation, he let me know up front and resolved it immediately. (i.e. scheduling subcontractors to do things and while waiting on parts). So I always knew where the project was and how much I was paying. What he said up front for cost was what I paid for the garage. It was so easy.
3. Like I said, I was still in the process of moving from out of state so Mike would always take videos and pictures of the progress for me. He was there during the project and even came back at the end to make sure I was happy and walk through the garage with me.
I don't know if I've ever had such a good service experience, especially for someone who is in high demand - he definitely cares about his customers.

I have done many construction projects in the Tidewater area and across the country. MC Builders located in Virginia Beach is absolutely the Best company of any that I have worked with by far! The owner is personally involved from design to completion and personally inspects every step of the process. His employees are extraordinarily courteous and they go out of their way to accommodate the needs of the customer. Customer service with this company is over the top. Also, the quality of the materials used was outstanding, and no corners were cut. As a result my detached garage addition that included a kitchen and living space was actually built better than my house! We couldn't be happier with the product and we highly recommend this company.

It’s been a long ride but a fun one! Starting all the way back to the design process. Mike was so easy to work with patient with us and allowed me to create our dream garage.
