Hiring Michael Casanova of MC Plumbing was a huge mistake for us. We hired him because he seemed knowledgeable and was he said he was able to start our project right away. He answered all of the questions right. Once we hired him (and paid half up front), he immediately went to Ace Cash Express and cashed our check. Over a period of two weeks, nailing down his schedule was impossible. He never showed up when he said he would. When he was at our house, he worked hard, but with a careless intensity I can’t fully describe. After two weeks, we were left with at least $500 of damaged tile/grout supplies and an improperly installed bathtub (according to a different plumber we hired subsequently), for a total loss of approximately $3,000. Hopefully we will be able to recover some of that in small claims court, because when asked to refund my money, he got very defensive and insisted that he could properly finish the job so because I fired him, he didn’t owe me anything. We also had complaints from the other trades we had working in the house that he was very inconsiderate of the work they were trying to do simultaneously (electrician and painters). Also, I had a neighbor complaint that he drove too fast in the residential neighborhood (she feared for the safety of her young grandson). I’ve heard from a different plumber and the guy measuring for our granite that others have had similar experiences with Michael Casanova—both said he overbooks his time and does careless work. My recommendation is to save yourself time and money and hire someone else.

Similar to review above, he promised everything up front, and as soon as he was paid deposit, essentially disappeared. He failed inspections twice, and at that point decided to not finish the job. I had to hire a new plumber to go back and fix all his errors. Proceed with extreme caution!
