    We decided to hire McCarthy renovations after hearing great things about his work from a friend. The work involved a total gut of our bath. We had extensive plumbing and tile work, and Mr McCarthy exceeded our expectations. I wound gladly refer him to anyone. Alexis D. Columbia S C.

    David Mccarthy was hired to do a renovation for us, He did show us his builders license however, when verified through labor and licensing board they advised us it was expired as of 6/30/14.. He informed us that he would get that "taken care" of immed.. yet could never produce a valid liscence.. the work that he did was substandard at BEST and materials disappeared from work site.. I would NOT recommend this "builder" Mr. Mccarthy does not adhere to work plan, does not adhere to standards that he promises to stand by and is in my opinion untrustworthy..

    This person failed to mention that they broke our contract on the second week as a $2500.00 draw was due and that they had gone through numbers of contractors and had done this same thing with all of them. They also stated that the one black employee I had at the time was not to be on their job (no explanation why) and that he was running around with his pants down to his ankles (not true). Husband also informed me that his wife was on Morphine for chronic back issues and that she goes crazy when she is running low on Medication (PARANOID AND DELUSIONAL ETC ...) This was a strange situation with even stranger people who I wish I had never met. In conclusion, my license as a Builder is and always has been current, which can be verified through the LLR of Sc license lookup on their web site. My Bond is current and there are no marks against me or my company
