In late May, 2017, I hired Billy McIntosh, 803-983-0137, to build 2 pergolas. The entire job was to cost $4,500. On 5/31/17, I paid him $1,500. On 6/5/17, I paid him another $1,500. I paid an additional payment of $1,000 on 6/6/17. Total payments amounted to $4,000. I was to pay him the remaining $500 upon completion of the job. During the following week, he and his crew only showed up 1 day to do a little work. At that point, I notified McIntosh that his services were no longer required due to his lack of professionalism and unreliability. He came by with a crew several days later and picked up his tools. He forcibly removed the lumber I had stored in my garage. I called the Sumter County Sheriff Department, but they were unable to respond prior to McIntosh leaving with my lumber. The case number is 17078805. I hired another contractor to replace the materials and finish the job.
