CON-MAN!!! Mark C. Jones / MCJ Construction stole our money. On September 15th Mark C. Jones signed a contract for custom window installation and took our down-payment of $5000. Over the next six weeks he has given numerous excuses for the delays and promised return of payment which would include reimbursement of our $5000 down payment in addition to compensation for the project-related losses his delay cost. We’ve been chasing him ever since to pay up. Most recently, on October 29th, he brought us a paper check for the full $6000 he now owes us, then circled back and told us to wait 4 days to cash it, than 3 more, now he won't return our calls.
If anyone out there received a bad check from Mark C. Jones / MCJ Construction, or has work that has not been completed as contracted, please contact the District Attorney, file a police report with Chicago Police Department, and report him to the Attorney General’s office. These matters are actually taken very serious and we have been advised by law enforcement that they will pursue him. The more instances of him writing bad checks and fraud, the more serious the felony charge.

This man is a FRAUD. Contracted him to do bathroom remodel. He took a down payment in the amount of $2,575.00. Took my money, and never completed the work. Please do not trust this thief.
