I have had nothing but horrible interactions with McKee since I purchased my home in December 2017. This is my third new home and by-far the worst.
The fine details such as trim work, interior painting, craftsmanship, landscaping, etc were all done fast and shoddy. Throughout the build process when problems were identified McKee attempted to explain them away and would only respond when we would highlight they were violating the design plan.
McKee rushed the closing and insisted that all issues found during the walk-thru would be solved by the post closing. Since that time, McKee has been almost impossible to coordinate with due to a lack of communication. When they have sent workers, they did more damage then good. I am now on my fifth iteration of attempting to get them to fix all the cosmetic issues with them home and still fighting to get them to respond to my requests.
If you have the option, I would avoid purchasing from McKee at all costs.

We purchased a McKee home and no one would ever come out to fix the huge mistakes in their design due to COVID. Our house is in the Oakmont neighborhood. This house has so many issues. I wish we would have bought a new home from a Quality builder instead of a fly by night Company. Our Air Conditioning does not work correctly in Master Bedroom because of poor installation. vents were closed with drywall I have one vent still open upstairs that has never been fixed. The bottom of the dishwasher is laying in floor because of the way the appliance was installed. Cracks in one bedroom where it wasnt done right. All our floors throughout the house pop and creak all night. Mouldings in bathrooms are above the floor so bugs come in all the time. The people that build these homes should not be building at all . We have chips all over granite counter tops because they buy CHEAP Merchandise to put in their homes. The shoe moulding is glued down The doors are hung crooked. Outside Vinyl is not capped off in places we fight wasps from going in and out between gaps. This company should lose their ability to sell New Homes. I dont know how how a Reputable Business can get by with selling a home with the such low quality as they put them out. Im pretty sure kindergardners could build a much better home. We had mold under home before the house was ever purchased. This is the WORST Company you could ever buy a house from. The one thing that really bothers me is THEY DONT CARE. We build below grade homes you pay for them. Thats really sad.
