    Construct new screen enclosed porch on back. Replace (tear down) old front porch with new front porc

    My wife and I contracted with McWhorter Construction after a long decision making period to construct a screen enclosed porch in our backyard and a new (replacement) front porch. I was skeptical because I thought the price was a little high. They started work on the back porch when we were away for a week in the summer. When we came back, I looked over ALL the work they had done. I was impressed. EVERYTHING they did was perfect. I couldn't believe how all the corners matched with no gaps. The footers were aligned without any offset. Then, when they constructed the roof, which required going into our house and removing one skylight, I thought for sure something would go wrong. Nothing was wrong. Again, I was impressed. Travis, the project manager, and his crew of Edwin, Darwin, and Roberto were FANTASTIC. There are not enough superlatives to reflect how pleased we are with this job. The one bad part is that because the screened porch area looks so good, we have to make our back yard look nice to match the beauty of the porch. Turns out the price was not high at all. I had no idea the amount of work that went into our project. If you'd like to see it, send me an email to [email protected].     He is a highly knowledgeable and experienced builder and gets a quick grasp on the big picture but also pays attention to detail.
