I am currently having a really bad experience with Mechanical Air Conditioning (and my parents are the ones who provided the recommendation!). Mechanical Air rushed my install to be complete before Jan 1, 2023, and the back rooms are still warm. Only after complaining did they add new intakes in the hall, which did not solve the problem. Then I was charged an additional $1,500 to add a separate duct line, which also did not solve the problem. I was told that the room was warm and I needed more tint on the large windows. And of course the "warm room" was why I replaced the A/C in the first place. We waited until the hotter months to really evaluate the new system. I never saw a calculation of air flow, capacity, etc., which would have proactively solved the issue. The "lead engineer" visited my home over 1 month ago, agreed there was a problem, and literally told me the line into the unit in the garage was problematic as well. He asked for a few days to get a solution together. And then I was "ghosted" by the company, literally. I guess they figured I would eventually go away, even though I just spent ~ $15K on new A/C and ducts, yet I have 2 warm rooms in the back of the home. But I am not going away. Buyer beware!
