This business is an absolute scam. DO NOT "BUY MEGATELL HOMES; here are the reasons:
I executed a contract with them back in beginning of July 2021. The house was supposed to be ready in 10 Months. Well. the house became ready on Aug 29th of 2022. Almost 14 months, which I didn't had that much problem with getting the house that late.
The main issue is that my gust bathroom sink had a crack on the drainage area, and we were seeing leaks on the floor. Since I don't like those sinks anyway, I decided to buy a vanity from my own pocket to replace it with the cheap brand and cracked sink. One night, I had a guest stay over that used the guest shower upstairs (this was the first time that that shower was used) and I was taking a shower in the master bedroom at the same time. Then, the water stopped from going down the drainage and it clogged. After I took the lid off the master bedroom shower, I was pieces of wood and foams coming right back up. This incident caused wastewater to make stain on the walls, leaks in the gust bathroom downstairs, and separated the baseboards and walls and made the master closet carpet wet by wastewater. Now, a representative went to the house and said since the guest bathroom sink is replaced, they are not covering it under warranty.
The warranty they have, is an absolute scam. If you want to buy Megatel Homes, think twice.

This is the most dishonest and unethical builder. Do not do business with them, They are unable to perform to any schedule and have horrible quality. They are liars. My next stop is the Attorney General to stop them from harming other people.

This company has no integrity and only greed. They used materials and labor cost as excuse to increase price three times ($60K, $30K and $70K) after almost two year waiting, because the construction has never been completed. We had to walk away from the purchase. It feels like that the builder is waiting for appreciation and totally disrespected the contract signed. How can one do business with somebody who is worth zero trust? Stay away from Megaton!!

This builder took my deposit money and then sold the property I was promised to someone else. They have not returned my deposit money, and it's been over a year.

I wish I could give -10 stars for this builder. We were under contract since Jan 2021. They had kept increasing the price even after the contract and they are not obliged to give any reason for the price increase. Their construction quality is so bad and their sales man in praire commons is so rude.

We are delighted with our new home. We had a wonderful experience working with Megatel Homes from the start to the end of the project. This is a well-organized company dedicated to delivering quality work within a reasonable timeframe. They completed our house ahead of schedule without compromising quality. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS "COMPANY." Their sales associate informed us by text message that they did not want to do business with us because we left a message with corporate to inquire about changing the brick on a home that they told us was pre-selected. This is despite the fact that no construction whatsoever had begun on the plot and completion date was almost a year out. They wanted us to spend over $750K on a home, but not get what we wanted and not be able to ask questions????? Horrible experience. Never seen such poor business in my life. Run for the hills.

Megatel is the worst builder! Please believe me and the other reviews you have read and run for the hills. I have built two new homes prior to Megatel and never had such a horrific experience. Our sales consultant Curt is outright rude, disrespectful and uses intimidation tactics to get away with not doing things that were promised and officially documented. He has made us personally feel very uncomfortable on multiple occasions and honestly has no respect for women. The fact that Megatel would employ such a person, even with multiple other reviews saying the same thing, speaks VOLUMES! We have documented change orders and STILL things are done incorrectly and there is no accountability from our sales agent or the construction manager. We were even sent a cease and desist email from our sales consultant telling us we can’t even go into our own home! Please if you value your money and your sanity, DO NOT BUILD WITH MEGATEL.

I could not be happier with my Megatel Home or with the experience I had working with them. All workers were respectful, professional and responsible. We are more than happy with the outcome, our beautiful new home! Highest recommendation for working with this homebuilder.

If I could give zero stars I would. If you want a quality home with a builder who will stand with their warranties don't build with Megatel. We built with them and have had problem after problem. All our neighbors who built with them are in the same boat. Foundation issues. I was told they don't pay their contractors so they scrape the bottom of the barrel hiring anyone they can to build your home. They only care about $$$. I put a warranty request in 09/19 I have had water coming in from the outsdie soaking her drywall and baseboards since then since they refuse to fix it. Problem after problem. Do not build with Megatel.

Megatel Homes are who you want to hire. They will craft you a beautiful home and have good people who work for them to support you through the whole process. They are client focused, very organized and run a tight ship from start to end. The final result is always very high end. I can't say enough good things about this group of people. I definitely recommend Megatel Homes!

The from Megatel Homes that completed my home build was very knowledgeable, respectful, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day and finished the project within the estimated time and within our agreed upon budget. I visited a friend that had a home by Megatel. I was absolutely in love with the floorplan and immediately got in touch with Megatel Homes as soon as I left. I decided on the Iris floorplan because I wanted something modest as it is just me and my dog right now. The work done was extremely high-quality and it was done exactly as we agreed. Terrible buikders... very poor quality construction. Front office lady at Praire commons is rude. Big holes in the garage, cracked granite tops, cracked wooden floors, squeaky upstairs floors, hot and neutral wires reversed which can lead to fire and death, leaks from roof....and a lot , a lot

They will sell you a house and not have the keys ready because an employee quit and took off with them. Then, when they do give you a house key, they are comfortable leaving out the mail key and never providing one. I closed over a month ago and haven’t been able to access the mail and have spent some part of every day trying to find someone there to help, but they just avoid your voicemails and attempts. You’d think a mail key was part of the deal.

We recently bought a new Megatel Home in Prosper, TX. It was a typical "spec" home that you'd expect from a "mass builder." What really disappointed me was the complete lack of ANY follow up. I'm not talking about small things. We have things like holes in the garage walls, 2 bad thermostats, garage door that wouldn't work, breakers that continually trip indicating a serious wiring problem, (I have to run my refrigerator with an extension cord to keep it running), loose gutter that bangs against the house when the wind blows, missing sprinkler heads, and on and on and on. I've been here 5 weeks and have yet to be contacted by anyone.
Think long and hard before dealing with this company.

They lied constantly and will not stand behind their work. I said I would have to pursue legal action if they don't honor the warranty, and they basically said bring it on. RUN AWAY from this builder!

They lied more than once and didn’t do what they promised, Can’t get ahold of anyone to address the issue and nobody ever returned my calls. I was told I would get a specific package with my house per our agreement and never got it. They never built pool as promised over a year ago. Very disappointed. I was planning on purchasing another megetel home and will take my business elsewhere
