I highly recommend Meier and Sons Roofing for sure.

I needed a new roof to replace a leaky old roof in the middle of winter and found them on a list at another contractor website. Alberto called me literally 20 minutes after I posted my form, and setup an estimate meeting. He came over during one of the big February storms and gave me an excellent price for a roof, gutters and shingling my patio awning too. We scheduled it between storms and it has worked out excellently. Alberto also had several samples of shingles to choose from too.

The crew is very professional, fast and most importantly, are nice people and friendly. The roof and awning was repaired and replaced in two days! They picked up all their trash and were quiet when they worked. One thing of added value; they added some extra vents at no charge and consulted me with a new location for a downspout that now keeps the draining rainwater out of the walkway that's on the side of my house.

Communication was very good. Linda and Alberto answered my questions quickly and were available when needed. The lead roofers that I talked too were experienced and were able to point out things to make my roof more efficient.

I looking forward to enjoying this roof for a good long while!

I consider Meier and Sons' work well done and would recommend them. I actually contracted with Best Value Home Improvements. I suggest you confirm with BVHI.

Two things I would have done differently had I known then what I know now:
1: Get the attic insulated while the roof is off.
2: Specify, and follow up by inspection, that debris from old roof removal and sawdust from new plywood fitting be removed from the attic. The contractor was reasonably careful, but not 100% and sawdust is carcinogenic and a fire hazard.

This multigenerational local Bay Area company did a fantastic job replacing a very complicated and steep roof on a Tudor style home. Steve the owner was very approachable and down-to-earth about the work required and the cost. I got a total of three estimates and his estimate was substantially lower than the other two.

Nothing was compromised as to the quality or integrity of the work. The work required was a complete tear off necessitating disposal of three roof layers. Steve's professional workers were thoughtful , quiet and kept the job site clean every time they left for their day.

This large home that was built in 1927 has a stucco exterior that merged with the original gutters built into the residence. The team carefully worked around the gutters preventing any damage that would've required a complex and expensive removal and replacement of the gutters.

No attention to detail was overlooked. To get the flashing on the surface of the stucco to look visually attractive, a significant amount of time and energy was expended by both Steve and his detail person skilled in addressing these issues.

Steve's expertise is considerable in repairing and replacing flat roofs. I can say from my experience working with him on this large and complex project that he an his team can tackle any project they bid. I highly recommend Steve and his company!!!
