Meinholz serviced my septic pump. The employee completed removing and replacing the septic pump in 40 minutes. However, the billing was very dishonest. Additionally, they never discussed the identified issue, remedies, cost, etc. They installed it and gave me an inflated bill.
1. I was charged for 1.5 hours after 40 minutes of work. I called the company, and the owner said that was for fuel expenses.
2. They installed an EP0411A Goulds Effluent Pump with a Piggyback/Wide-Angle Floatswitch, valued at $520.57 on Amazon. They charged $750 for the pump and an additional $120 for a switch that was not installed.
3. They charged me $25 for $5 worth of fittings: one reducer, one coupling, and one foot of 2" pipe.
I am not here to gouge businesses, but this is about a 38% markup of reality, in my opinion. Perhaps it is inflation. I will be looking elsewhere and advise you to do the same.
