We recently used Melby electric for a remodel. We didn’t choose them directly but they were part of our designer’s team. And although personable and polite, I will never be using them again. For our bathroom light install, the hole that were cut for our sconces (which the electrician did during the rough in phase) were the wrong sizing causing issues with trim out and more labor hours being tacked on. They also chipped our sink (they laid down 0 protection) and made holes and scratches in our newly paneled walls. During our family room rough in, the electrician sent apparently had an injured finger, causing the rough in to take an extremely long time….and we are paying this company by the hour. The electrician also left the wrong size electrical boxes which caused confusion with the general contractor, leading to a 3g box vs a 2g box being installed in our brand new custom built ins….meaning I now have a spot in our new built in cabinets that is completely useless. The electrician also ran over my lawn while he was leaving and left a large tire strip, tearing up my side lawn. All in all not a great experience. I also emailed the company a question regarding a line item on my invoice as it didn’t seem to map to anything they did, and have gotten 0 response. Look elsewhere for an electrician.
