Kitchen Renovation.
Fredy Mendez was highly recommended to me by a good friend of mine. I had a positive experience with Fredy and his helper. I hire him to remodel a small kitchen in my basement. Remove and install a new kitchen cabinet. Replaced a kitchen sink, faucet and plumbing. Removed and install a new counter-top.
I am very pleased with the final results. The work was done right, efficiently and at a reasonable price. I will definitely be using him in the future. -

Fredy Mendez in Huntington NY is a crook. I hired him to renovate my living room and kitchen. I paid an initial deposit of 6000.00 for material which he never brought to my home because he claimed would take up space that they will need to work in. He requested an additional 3000.00 to pay his worker to start working. As of January 6 2017 Fredy Mendez has been paid 30800.00 for a 25000.00 contract and only 1/4 of the job was done and done wrong. He has not paid his workers who refused to continue working for him. He is not licensed althogh certain sites say he is licensed. He has not finished and has abandoned the job taking with some of the materials I paid him for as well as the remaining material he supposedly had in his warehouse. I have filed a claimed with the nyc consumer affairs. I dont know where else to turn to.

He cannot be trusted. How did you do with NYC Consumer Affairs?
I don't know what to do and feel I have no recourse which is why he
keeps on getting away with such things. He accepted money for
something he told me he was doing that day - he never performed and
is not returning my phone calls. That was one problem and now there
is another I am finding out about where he accepted money for something once again he did not do but another contractor did. Any suggestions?
