I also had the same problem. The company has taken forever to install my door which was purchased from Lowes. I inquired in August and the door wasn't measured until October. After measuring, we got an appointment in December from them to install it. The called me the day of installing to notify they were not available and pushed the installation to another month. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. I do not think it is normal for me to wait 5 months for a door installation.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use this company. Their installers are liars. Like John G. I also purchased a door to be installed by them. I ordered the door in June 2020 and by November 2020 the door still hasn't been installed. They did come once in September to install it but told me the trim around my door will have to be fixed before they can install it. So the installer informed me he will keep the door at his warehouse and install it when my trim is fixed. When I arranged for them to come back and install the door the door had somehow disappeared.

I bought a door through Lowes and this was the company they had chosen to do the installation. The price of installation changed twice after the measurements were done. When I questioned this the woman at the company got angry and yelled at us. I went through Lowes to try and have the problem corrected and after another month...it was. Now with the installation paid for, Merkle didn't like the resolution that was agreed upon. Two weeks later, after not returning any of my calls, they answered the phone and told me that they won't install the door.

Having read previous reviews I was skeptical about having them do any work for me but I was assured by Lowe's that they were good.
I employed them to install a storm door which was purchased at Lowe's. Jeremy came to measure the door opening and answered the questions that I had at the time. A few days later after the door was purchased I received a phone call from them to set an appointment date for installation which was only approx. 2 weeks out. Jeremy arrived on time and installed the door. He was pleasant and professional and competent. He is a bit of a perfectionist which I admired and appreciated. The door looks fabulous and I am extremely pleased with his workmanship. I highly recommend him and would gladly use him again for future projects.
