I would never recommend George Merlin Architect, of Sarasota Fl. I hired him to design a house. He has no creativity and I had to constantly tweak his design to make it attractive and functional, of course he charges for that. His design ideas are stuck in 1982. He knows nothing about the most up to date appliances and features that can be included as he doesn't keep up with what is new. The one thing he is good at is sending a bill. He wants to be involved even to the point of your move in day, so he can keep billing.He will insist you also hire his friend Peter Wallis as structural engineer so they can both bill you. Stay away.
