We had Mike Orlando Jr. completely renovate our kitchen, and he and his crew did an excellent job. They removed a wall, added counter-tops, cabinets, and flooring, and stayed within a budget that was already reasonable. On top of that, the project was completed a few days early. While Mike does not have strong opinions about design, he was willing to work with ours, even when we changed up the plans several times throughout the project. He happily accommodated our requests. He also communicated with us often, and always returned text messages very promptly. All in all, it was a professional and positive experience for us, and we'd certainly use Mike's Home Improvement for future projects.

On budget, faster than predicted schedule, and I love the way it looks.

I've never experienced a contractor quite like Mike Orlando and his team. Besides being honest, dependable and excellent craftsmen they are, most importantly, wonderful people. It all started with the beautiful deck they built. But their real caring character came through last week. I was in the hospital and text Mike that I needed grab bars for my shower when I came home the next day. Mike came to my rescue that very next day. It just goes to show you what fine people they are.

We had a very positive experience with Mikes Home Improvement who designed and built a deck; large slate patio with fire pit; veneer stone wall/retaining wall; and walkway from front to back. I have used Mike's Home Improvement for several jobs in my home, everything from landscaping to recessed lighting, bathroom upgrading and window replacement. We moved into a new home and needed several things done. Mike's signs were everywhere in our neighborhood (Waverly Woods West in Marriottsville). We thought at first there must have been a covenant requiring his use, but we asked neighbors and were told that it was just strong word of mouth that he did good work. We gave him one job, then another, then another. In the end he did all the work. He did a lot of pre-move in work such as installing fans, sealing concrete floor in the basement and garage, installing dimmers, TVs, new closet, backsplash, undercabinet lights, extra outlets in the basement, wiring for audio visual equipment, a magnificent bookcase (which I think is the one displayed on this sight. After our move in we had him put in a deck on the back and do a partial finish of the basement. I couldn't recommend him higher. He and his staff were very attentive to detail, timely in their delivery of service, accurate in their costing estimates, willing to correct any things we were not fully satisfied with, and respectful of our property. I have recommended him to some of our other friends and they have been equally satisfied.

His crews were courteous and maintained a clean work area. His results were exactly what I was looking for and I would highly recommend him and his company.
