Let me start by saying that we are happy with our kitchen remodel. However, it took almost three times as long as originally quoted. When hired the contractor stated that he had an in-house crew that would do almost all of the work and he didn’t hire subcontractors. He also said that he would be on the job site every day. His “crew” turned out to be only one workman. That is why the project took so long. Additionally, when the final bill was presented, and I had questions about it, the contractor threatened to put a lien on my house (on the day that the bill was given). It was not late, I had only asked questions about some of the labor charges. That was very unprofessional and unpleasant in my opinion.
