  Stone work and trex deck

  I would not recommend Cataldo builders to anyone. Did stone work on our vacation home in Bear Creek Lakes, Jim Thorpe and it is AWFUL. More mortar than stone and they dripped mortar and paint all over the stone work. DO NOT hire this man to do any work on your home. Also installed a trex deck. After two years it is pulling away from the house. He claims he has had issues with this product before and said he was too busy to come look at it. He told us to buy composite screws which would fix the problem. They did not. Again, like the previous review, he likes to blame his sloppy work on everyone else. We have the same decking in at our primary home and have never had a problem with it. The problem is with the INSTALLER not the product. Not only does he do shoddy work but has horrible customer service as well. Would have given 0 starts if possible.

  New Home built

  This Man built my home and I am very very disappointed -He acted like a true friend-- My home looks beautiful outside, if you don't know what you are looking for that is-on my porch and by an outside window he cut the siding too short-The siding on the porch kept falling down, by the window you can see the installation- Within the first week of taking possession of the home the sinks leaked, a pipe for the bathroom leaked and I kept losing electric in the front part of my house-he did not give me a reason for the leaks he just fixed but the electric he claims poor quality circuit breakers on the market-Nothing is ever his fault-He constantly blamed the Township Inspector for many problems-All of the joints in my home you can see I had a few professional Painters to my home and they could not believe what they were seeing---in my main room ceiling you were clearly able to see all joints -I questioned him about this and he said this is the way it is suppose to be I disagreed-The walls are done poorly again you can see the joints and where they meet, there are digs in the walls, nail pops all over the place-dirt painted into the walls and most inside doors-When you build a home you are suppose to get all paperwork concerning that home-I never received the house plans (he claims he destroyed), my well report I have no idea how far mine is and my septic plan-he sent paperwork but no report-When he sent these items upon my request almost 2 yrs later he sent a letter stating I should not give any negative feedback - I wish there would have been feed back for me when I was deciding who to have build my Home so I wouldn't have to go through hiring other contractors to fix his in ability to give me the proper quality of work that I paid for. Be very careful when considering this man -he is a smooth talker- I don't want to put out more money because he didn't do the right thing-He will tell you that he has been in business for 28 yrs, I am sure this is not the first time he is doing this. I am very very disappointed, this was to be my dream home not a problem nor something I have to continually worry about :(
