    Addition

    I would never recommend or hire this person again. He is dishonest and not a business person. He took me to court and Magistrate Ardito ruled in his favor, after discussion which I was not much a part. He built an addition on to my home, 16' x 20' not that large. His contract did not align with my designers blueprint, which in court didn't matter. I did not pay him for work he did not complete but.had to pay him anyway in the end per Magistrate. A week before final payment he came with a statement of extra charges above and beyond contract of which some were double charges, which I did not pay. It was a terrible experience, as stated would not allow him on my property again!

    Mike can build but not communicate effectively. This is a deal breaker for us after 40 years of owning/renovating homes. When additional work/changes surfaced Mike refused to amend the contract in writing, continued working and ended up overcharging (at double the original rate) -- handing us a bill when he walked out the door, we thought it was a summary of the 1st contracted portion of the job since the amount was the same as his added on non-contracted work, which took much less time. He didn't mail a follow up bill to our PO Box address (sent it mistakenly to street address), never called/wrote to inquire about our nonpayment, so took us to court and treated us like crooks. Can I give less than 1 star?

    I have owned 6 houses all over the country and have overseen numerous house renovation projects in each of them. I hired Mr. Renzi to do work which was executed accurately. I would encourage any one who hires him to pay careful attention to getting every detail of the scope of the job to be spelled out in contract form and that any unexpected additional work at job onset is added to the contract as an addendum, in writing, for your protection. His impatience and poor communications with me would keep me from hiring him.
