I would highly recommend this company, Shawn Wheeler and team member, Steve! I will be calling them in the future.
I was referred to Shawn Wheeler through a mutual friend. I found out Shawn works for Midwest Drainlayers, which is how I ended up using this company.
I was referred to Shawn the evening of 12 Oct and he contacted me that same night. He came the next day and gave me a bid. I accepted the bid, and they came the very next day and completed all the jobs! In my opinion, if you're looking for a contractor that will means what they say and says & does what they mean, this is company to call!!
Shawn and Steve were very professional, seem to have a great work ethic, took pride in their work, and were very much concerned about if I was happy with the work they did.
They installed a French drain, replaced a vanity, and updated the plumbing, hooked up a sewer lateral line, fixed leak under kitchen sink and repaired the underneath of the cabinet, replaced basement lights and light switch. All this work done is less than 8 hours. Great people and a great job done.

I was referred to Jeff by another plumber who did the video on my sewer lateral. To me that's always a first good sign, when someone in the trade provides a reference. Midwest Drainlayers may not be the biggest company out there, but Jeff was very responsive and his price was reasonable. They pulled the necessary permits, did the work as agreed to, on the day and time agreed to and delivered a quality patch job on the street in the end. I've since referred them to others who have subsequently used them for sewer lateral repair work and been satisfied as well.

This company was hired by the water repair program in St. Louis County to repair a pipe in my yard. They dug from the street all the way across the front lawn to the house. A few days after the work was finished, I noticed sink holes starting to form in the yard. The lawn also sank away from the front walk, causing a fall hazard. I contacted the company and spoke to the owner Jeff, who said he knew and someone would be back out to fix the problem and lay more grass seed. I explained that he could not have known because this was my first call about the problem. Jeff said that someone would be back out when the weather is nicer to fix the problem, but gave no general timeline. In the meantime, the yard has been this way for almost three weeks so far. Who decides when the weather is nicer? In addition to all of this, the number on their website is no good. I had to call the county to get an actual working number. Maybe they do better work for private individuals who contract with them. If you have a problem, and they are contracted through the county, please beware.

This company was a recommendation & I will use them in the future and will also recommend. Jeff and Dan were very responsive to the immediate plumbing issues at my home. Dan came out to estimate the job and was very accommodating to my schedule, professional, confident in addressing the issue. I did not feel I was being taken advantage of with the estimate as I did feel that way with 3 prior bids. Thank You Dan.
