Poor Communication, Damaged Property, and Incomplete Work

I deeply regret hiring this roofing company. My experience mirrors the numerous negative reviews I've since discovered about their questionable business practices and project abandonment.

After making my deposit in October, I waited over four weeks with zero communication about when they would start the roof installation. My voicemails went unanswered, leaving me in the dark about the project's status. The lack of response and mounting evidence of similar complaints from other customers led me to contact my bank about the charge.

Out of the blue one day I return home after work to find my roof has been removed, an left it that way for a full week. Their crew carelessly handled my property, damaging my Traeger grill by breaking the front leg and the hopper. Even worse, their sloppy cleanup left roofing nails scattered around my property, resulting in two separate tire repairs.

I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere for their roofing needs. The combination of poor communication, property damage, and unprofessional conduct makes this company impossible to recommend.

Neighboor used them for there roofing and siding work from the recent storms. I decided to hire them, exterior of my house built in 1940 looks brand new. Siding, roof, and gutters. Thanks again

Crooks. Absolutely run. Not only did they take our money and run, they did not pay the subcontractors who did the portion of the job that actually got completed. Even though we had paid MWR, they never paid the subs who put a lien on our home and NINE OTHER HOMES AT THE SAME TIME for the same reason. Mark, Bill and everyone else is full of promises that they never fulfill and will absolutely scam you out of your money and you'll never hear from them again. Absolutely do not work with them.

Midwest Restorations did a great job fixing my roof after a storm hit. They were very friendly and helpful with the questions I had. My roof was completed very fast and it looks amazing! I couldn't be happier, I will be recommending them to my friends.

They must be making their own fake reviews if there is more than 1 star here. They are storm chasers who take money and run. Just as others have complained, they replaced my roof but I never got my siding and gutters replaced that they were paid for. It’s not just Kansas they were banned from. They’ve had issues in MO and IA too, operating under other business names and moving on. Extremely untrustworthy. Please use your time and money on a deserving and honest company. Susan and Mark are nightmares.

Great company very knowledgable about the insurance siding of the roofing business. My roof was denied by insurance after hiring midwest job was approved threw my insurance company. Built my roof all for no money out of pocket. Great company.

Do not hire this company. You will be sorry. I was. Once they are paid you will get nothing more from them but empty promises they never deliver on. They will tell you they will come back to fix the issue but never follow thru. They lie and cannot be trusted, Mark (owner) and Matt included. I was left with a problem they did not fix and no refund. They do not care about the customer. Now I have to hire someone else to do the work they were supposed to do. Please make sure you read reviews before you hire anyone. That I did not do and now I am paying for it.

I will update the site if I ever get a refund on the work that was not done. Stay tuned. Don't hold your breath.

Great local business that’s been around for years and will be around for years to come. Definitely give Midwest restoration a call if you want a siding or roofing project completed by capable hard working people!

Do NOT use this company. They do the minimum work to get their check. Once they are paid you will never be able to reach them again. We have a leak in the roof and the owner, Mark Schneidewind, actually told me that it is normal for them to leak if there is a heavy rain with driving winds. Now they will not answer my calls or return my messages. We are stuck with a leaking roof. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.
They also operate under Midwest Restoration, and Dollhouse Inc. Mark Schneidewind, the owner, also uses the alias Mark Wagner. I recently found out the have been banned from doing business in the state of Kansas. Do your research before using this company! Also look up Susan Cuthill, she is part owner of this company too. She is just as culpable as Mark Schneidewind.

I hired midwest to perform a roofing and siding project. The roofing crew showed up within 2 weeks job done in one day cleaned spotless. Siding crew showed up 2 weeks later siding done in 2 days. Professional Company. Advise hiring them.

So glad I hired this contractor my home looks brand new after having my roof and siding completed. Midwest was able to to all of my repairs for what the insurance company allowed. Wonderful experience! Highly recommended

No I would never reccommend them to anyone. They are a company that chases storms. They drove in my driveway after storms in our area and instead of hiring someone local I gave them a chance. My storm damage was over 40,000. Of course they wanted to start with the roofs on all my buildings which was the big money maker. After the roofs were done I was told there was no money left to do things like the siding and the gutters that they had already been paid out for by the insurance company. I finally took them to small claims court and actually one the case. The next thing was to try and collect the money owed me. It was a no go. They know all the tricks. They have no business account, just personal bank accounts and so you can not get money from them. You cannot file against a personal account when it was the business that wronged you. So here I sit with a $4000 judgement that can never be collected. Do not hire this company anyone. After they have collected their money they will no longer answer phone calls or come back to fix their work. My folks and I both fell into this and have regretted it ever since. You may think you are getting a good deal but you will get what you pay for.

I would never recommend MWR to anyone. My parents are still trying to recover money from the lightening rods that MWR replaced after roofing their house in 2016. This is 2018. When they took the rods off they replaced them by crossing the wires and putting staples and nails directly through the cable. We were told for two years that they would be out to fix them. And never showed up. All calls went unanswered. Finally a couple weeks ago. They said they were going to close this claim and said they would send us out a check. They sent it to the wrong man who had the same name as my dad in another town. Of course this man cashed the check. And now they are saying we did it. What a load of crap. This company is so full of it.

I wish I was able to give negative stars! This has been the biggest nightmare of my life! I have been working with this "company" since Aug 2017 and my work is still not done. They put a roof on but it is still leaking in the same spot that they were hired to fix in the first place. They have collected every check told my insurance company the job was completed. Was paid for my gutters those are not done my gate was broken down to get into my back yard my air conditioner unit was caked full of old roofing material the model car engine in my garage was also just covered! I am so unhappy and cannot get a call back! I am a new home owner 27 years old with 5 children 3 adopted foster and am at a loss! My fault for not doing my research I know, but I still cannot help but to breakdown and cry!
