The project started nicely and on time but did not end that way. Daniel was responsive to my needs within the hour at first and now hasn't responded in days. I requested that the roofers install three skylights in the roof (not framed in and sheetrocked inside the house), which they agreed to, and I was charged. When my contractor cut them into the ceiling in the house, we realized they had cut the ceiling trusses to install them. I'm not a contractor, but I know ceiling joists are structural and shouldn't be cut. The trusses are typically 2 feet apart; in my home, they are 16". Without telling me they just cut them out and in one case they cut 2 out for 1 skylight when they could've just moved it over a few inches and not cut. This required me to have a structural engineer out which has cost thousands of dollars. All of the skylights were installed crooked. All of them. The framing around them is clearly done by a roofer, not someone who knew what they were doing. My contractor and insulation company both stated that there should be a ridge vent which they had to come back and install. In the contract, it's stated that gutters were included. After Daniel told me five times they were coming on whatever day, I now no longer even get a response from him. So now I will have to get a company to install gutters and then take Miguels to small claims court for that balance. It cost me 37k for the roof plus the structural engineer, plus his recommendations including 20-foot beams installed. They also dumped their trash in my large trash (20 yards) tote, which is billed by weight even though disposal was in their quote. Even though we had already discussed this, I also had to ask them to replace clearly rotting fascia boards. Daniel does have a nice, expensive-looking truck. I wish it were honesty and hard work that paid for it, not my ineptitude.
