We had a horrible experience with Mike. I provided him with architectural and structural drawings for our project. Mike sold us that he would be in constant communication throughout the project and would be personally involved. This was not the case. Mike was non responsive to emails or texts. If I had a question he would become irate. Only communication was from either a horribly written letter where he was ranting or if he was requesting a payment draw which actually became requests for an advance. When I finally refused to pay him any more until he finished the project, he got mad, closed the permit and walked away leaving the project unfinished. He also argued that he did not include the electrical in his bid and wanted a substantial change order. I showed him where electrical was shown in the bid documents. Workmanship on what work was done was mediocre.
I would in no way recommend Mike. In fact, I would recommend anyone stay far away and consider more qualified contractors.
I only wish we had been forewarned.
