Kyzer Custom Fences

He's cheap but when you add in all the repairs it is not cheap at all. My neighbor and I hired him to put up a fence between our yards and three gates total. Within a year, two of the gates had serious issues. My neighbor had to replace hers, I had to have one of mine dug up and redone because it was tipping over (he used light weight concrete which broke). The third gate is starting to tilt and will need to be replaced in a year or two (he did the work 3 years ago). The most outrageous part was when he left a 2 foot gap between the side gate and my preexisting back gate and when I pointed it out he got mad and said I never specifically said the gates had to connect. To "fix" it he just stuck a piece of fence in the ground in front of the gap without attaching it to the rest of the fence.

Kyzer was a fantastic fence builder! Extremely high quality fence and gates, he even threw in an extra custom gate because he thought it'd look "cute" (it did.) We chose him because he built all the fences from the early stage of our neighborhood ten years prior and they still looked fantastic, whereas the new builder they switched to looked cheap and warped from the start. Built our fence in 2016.... He used screws, nice straight wood he picked out same day, high quality gate frames, more concrete than the other guys, etc and still was toward the bottom of the estimates we got. Would absolutely use again!

It started in Sept. -he got around to it in dec- every excuse in the book- now the gate is warped and since February trying to get him to fix it- again every excuse in the book- he did come and replace the middle board- but if "all he does is fences" would he not know the warped boards would need to be replaced two boards over from the one he replaced- ? The almost $4000 is not worth the hassle- I so wished I had listened to my gut. I am guessing small claims court? Going on seven months for what took him 2-3- days to do- thanks
