I used Mike's Custom Concrete and would not recommend him to anyone.
I had him replace two sidewalk slabs. They were poorly done as Mike was unable to do them because of an injury. He agreed they looked very bad and agreed to replace both of them.
Both were torn up but damage was done to a stormwater drain underneath one of them. While Mike himself was repairing that damage I asked him to be sure that the tree roots beneath that area had been removed. He assured me they had been removed. Six months later I asked him to stop and look at the crack that was developing in that slab. He avoided getting back to me. Two more months went by and I noticed Mike was doing a job for one of my neighbors in the next block so I approached him and asked him to come with me so that he could see what I was concerned about. He returned a couple of days later and patched the area.
The crack continued to expand and the patch broke into small pieces.
I finally had to remove the slab myself and pour fresh concrete. It had been many years since I had done any concrete work but fortunately I still had the tools. My finished slab actually looks superior to the first two slabs that were done by Mike's Concret.

Mike completed $ 20,000 job Oct. 2023. He scratched our new pathway having a water fight in our yard with his daughter then complained bitterly when we had him redo that area. He removed our French porch which was not in the plan. We now have a large crack in a walkway to which his reply was “sweetheart cement cracks”. Per company we are now paying 500.00 to repair the strip is too long without a designed are for cracking. BEWARE.
