I own a few rental properties and use a property management company to manage them. Had a bad hot water valve under the sink in the kitchen. Since the condo was old I decided to change both hot and cold water valves and also both valves on 2 bathrooms so I wouldn't have to deal with any future problems. My management company uses Mike's plumbing so they sent them out to do the job. The bill was $644!!!. 6 water valves!!! Paid by my management company and I paid them but I couldn't believe it so I asked the management company for the bill, it said 5 hours labor. 5 Hours for 6 water valves????. So I called my tenant and asked him, guess what he said?? 2 hours. Yep 2 hours. Next time I'll find my own plumbing company. As soon as I finish posting this I will be calling my management company and letting them know what happened, hopefully they will be using another plumbing company too.

I called Mike’s about a shower that would not shut off completely. A plumber came out, said my shower valve was defective and said I would need to call and schedule a repair. Then they billed me $85 for this.
I KNEW it was defective, that’s why I called a plumber.
I wouldn’t call these guys back if my house was flooding and they were next door. -

We hired Mike's Plumbing and Heating to install a boiler system and do all of the plumbing on a remodel of our home. Everything was going fine until his lead left in the middle of the job. Now that the job is completed and money paid he is totally unresponsive. We have a cottage that is off of the boiler system that has been without heat for over a month. He has never left us keys to turn off the gas to the gas fireplaces and now we have a bedroom off the boiler system that is hot and the thermostat is turned all the way down. This job was only completed a few months ago and while we have left numerous messages for him he has not returned any of our calls over the past three weeks. I would think twice before using a contractor that apparently will not stand behind his work, will leave you without heat as you enter winter and doesn't even have the courtesy to return phone calls.

Mike's was recommended, however ...
I requested rough-in of a shower fixture and rough-in of a free standing tub filler. The guy who came said he didn't know how to do the tub filler so he'd start with the shower and then figure out the rest. When installing the shower fixture he turned off the water but didn't consider pressure in the pipes so it sprayed all over barely dry cement shower pan. He installed the shower fixture too shallow in the wall (wouldn't be behind tile and drywall). When questioned he had excuses for why he did it that way, they weren't interested in just fixing the error. Delays, as I had to get someone else to fix the shower fixture, and do the tub filler.
