This contractor either applied a clear sealer which was incompatible with the base color coat, applied them in the wrong manner, or used products not suitable for a concrete patio exposed to a lot of sun. Within weeks, the clear top coat or sealer on several sections of our patio "checked" or "alligatored". In those areas, the clear sealer could be scraped off using a fingernail. He returned and refinished two sections, but "wanted to see" how the other sections fared after a few more months. When other sections developed the same problem, he promised to also refinish them, but would have to wait until the following Spring to do so. When I finally managed to get him to come back to our house, he complained he was losing money on the job and wanted us to pay for the repairs as his warranty was for only one year!
We hired another contractor who had to grind off much of the finish applied by Milagro before applying a different product. We highly recommend that contractor, Joseph LaForte, who does business as City Surfaces.
Mr Rodriguez, the owner of Milagro, has artistic talent and presents a professional appearance. However, we found him to be unreliable in scheduling and question his knowledge about the products to use on a concrete patio exposed to lots of sun and snow, which we have in abundance at our house. Most importantly, we found him unwilling to stand behind his work.
