    My experience with Milani Homes has been poor. My home, on Blake Road in Alpharetta, is beautiful. However builder ethics and craftsmanship is poor. The builder asked me, as part of the purchase agreement, to put $10,000 of my own money toward filling and sodding a detention pond behind my home. I agreed due to my concerns about the pond. The work was to be completed by January 1017; they still have not completed the work. So in December 2017, I asked for my $10,000 back. The builder has been unwilling to refund my money. I have also experienced issues with poor craftsmanship. My hardwoods have significant cracks between the boards and cupped during my first winter in the house. Fred, the owner, committed to fixing my hardwoods if the issue did not resolve itself over the first summer. However Fred went back on his word and has not fixed my hardwoods. Other craftsmanship issues have included scratched marble that they were unwilling to replace, broken lazy susans, etc. This builder does not fix what needs to be fixed and cannot be trusted to uphold his word.
