Milioto Custom Homes

I too like Benny M, had a review written on Damon Milioto that he paid to have removed from the BBB. I posted my first review on this site 27th days after I moved into my home. He claimed that none of these things we discovered within 15 days of taking possession of our custom home were noted during the 5 min. walk-thru. If you read my previous review and Benny M's review you would see similarities in our experiences. If you want to experience 30 years of frustration and disappointments every morning you wake up in your Custom built home choose to use Damon Milioto and Milioto Custom Homes.
The disappointments never end with this builder. After Hurricane Ida we experienced some mild damage to our home and many of you are familiar with the aftermath. We have been facing some challenges with getting material along with the correct material. I recently reached out to Mr. Damon Milioto asking if he would be so kind to provide us with the building material that was used for our roof, windows, facia, and soffit via email. I thought after 3 years any hard feelings, grudges, and animosity would have died but unfortunately, they haven't.
After asking Damon Milioto for a list of the building material to match what was used to build my house, Damon Milioto refused to give the information.

He not only refused to give us the list of the building material used, but he also claimed that I attacked him. He also subtly called me a liar! These were his exact words from our email exchange.
" Last we spoke you were planning on removing that awful personal attack review that you left on build.com but it’s still active on their website.

Please let us know when you will have this false review removed. We would love to help you."

The only person that ever told any lies in the whole ordeal was Mr. Damon Milioto. He deceived me once but I will not fall for it again. Me removing my review is not an option.

It was my experience and one that I do not want anyone else to experience!!!

If any of you think this is a false review or an awful attack on Damon Milioto and Milioto Custom Homes, you are welcome to call me and come see for yourself. I could not post all of the awful pictures of the lousy, awful, and terrible job done by Milioto, so you are welcome to come to my home.

Don't be fooled!!! Don't be fooled by your first impression of Damon Milioto because that first impression will not be a lasting impression!!! Please read other reviews and you will see exactly what I'm saying. I am only trying to protect the next family from going through this horrible experience that my family and I have to endure!!!

Pls I will urge you all to beware of this builder named Damon.This man came across as polite and humble before the first check came into his hands.After he got the check it was hide and seek.Damon refused to pick my calls and that of my wife.Damon commenced my 550k house project in November 2020 and has not finished the house till date .Today is the 1st of November 2021.Damon has collected all his money and has refused to come fix all the flaws in this house.Where do I start from?We finally decided to move in three days ago and fix the things we could fix ourselves to avoid any headache from Damon since he has all his money.The moulding is cracked up,the cabinets are all cracked up,the doors to the masters bedroom are the wrong doors he promised to fix long before now and has not done anything about it,the house was designed with a wine cooler and Damon took out the design for the wine cooler and now wants to give the money back to us.The floors of the cabinets are all cracked up.You want to know the epitome of rudeness,talk to Damon’s wife Blair.She makes it seem it’s a favor they did me
by building my house.It’s like everyday you stay in this house,you discover a new mess up and screw up.I come home tonight after less than a week in the house and the masters bedroom toilet is blocked and backing up into the bathroom.I am resorting to stay in a hotel with my family.Damon will not answer his phone since he has gotten all his money.Doing business with this clown of a contractor will only raise your blood pressure.I spent a lot of money to build a desirable edifice for my family and this is what I get.I moved in on Friday and it’s less than a week and I am moving into a hotel.This project has been a disaster.Pls avoid this so called contractor like a plague..He will come across as humble and professional but once your checks hits his account he is a whole different being .My family is saddened at the turn of events.This has been my worst regret whatsoever in life (doing business with Damon)pls do not do it.I am going to furnish you guys with the pics of what I am saying in due timing.I don’t know what to do .He will not answer my texts or emails nor my wife’s texts or emails.I hate to see anyone go through what I am going through.I honestly will report this fraudster fo the board of builders in due timing .I am so disgusted and disappointed in choosing this man to build my dream home.Pls do not do it.part 2 coming with pictures

Beware of this builder!!! I contracted Damon Milioto to build my 3400sq ft home. He appeared to be very honest, polite, nice, and willing to do what it took to build a home we would love and be satisfied with. However, all of that changed once we signed the contract and gave him those deposit checks. He became a different person. He was very accessible and responsive prior to signing the contract, getting our checks, and the construction starting. Once the construction started, the real Damon Milioto came out. He started ignoring my calls, text messages, and request to me at the construction site. Once he got my check I never saw him at the house. All of my meetings were with the foreman Tony, who was clueless, very unprofessional, rude like Damon. He started ignoring us also. They had issues with us bringing things to their attention and questioning things. These people should not be in this business and someone has to stop them. Even Damons wife and office manager Blair is rude and unprofessional. I wish I could show you some of the emails. She sent emails that we should be grateful and excited as if they did us a favor. So we are supposed to accept half done, in complete, unprofessional, messy work just because we have a new house that you promised to build at a certain amount. We had so many issues with them from start to finish. We had the final walk-thru set for July 6, 2018 then a few days before They sent us an email saying they would be out of town. We had to meet with Tony to do the walk-thru. That was intentional and another low down, disrespectful, sneaky act from Damon Milioto. The first walk-thru lasted 15 mins and I got very upset and left. This house was awful and they was trying to force us to close on July 13, 2018. You would have thought it would have been some very minor things needed to be done after 8months. It was a laundry list of things needed done. It was almost as if a novice had built out house. The doors did not close all the way and they were all chipped at the bottom. They had paint on the wood floors, base boards, uneven paint, dust, grout, paint, and sawdust all over the cabinets, doors, wrought iron door, windows and ceramic tiles. We gave him a long list of things and asked to have a second walk through. He then sent an email and said all of the items on the punchlist were addressed on Friday, July 13, 2018 and we can close by Wednesday. That was a lie from the pit of hell. How about none of it was done. They didnt work on the weekends so he was trying to be deceptive. This stuff has to stop. Too many of them do good, hard working, honest people this and nothing is ever done about it. We had gone back and forth with emails about the wood floors buckling, dirty cabinets, our $9000 wrought iron door that had paint and overspray on it and many other punchlist items they never fixed. This man finally came to do the walk-thru after I threatened him and refused to go to closing. He tried to offer me $1000to walk away from the project because he claimed we were hard to please. We trusted this liar and finally went to close thinking they would make good on the things we asked him to do, but he didnt. His wife wants to send and email last week saying they are doing things to fix our issue as a courtesy. Which means they don't have to make good on the mistakes errors, in complete items, or floors buckling. I'd you think we are wrong look at the pictures we took with 5 days of the closing and moving in. He gave us $2000 to accept the wood floors in the hallway and unsatisfactory cleaning as is at closing. I told him, we didnt want the money, we want the house done right. We went to closing because we had signed a contract but he breached the contract because he didnt give me a completed new house as he promised, nor is he willing to make good on things that were not done correctly. I failed to tell you all of our bathrooms were constantly used by the subcontractors. They were dirty and nasty after we closed with urine and pubic hair on two of them. We requested back in May that they tape and cover the bathrooms. They did but either they didnt clean them when they covered them and they were still using them. Damon lied and said they were cleaned and covered back in May. I said to honour house must have NASTY GHOST there when you all leave. This is not a new construction. Our stainless steel sink and wrought iron door was all scratched up. Damon is such a liar. At closing he said he would be there to take care of things we may find after closing. He is building a house across the street from us and I went to talk with him and he and Tony saw me coming. They got in the truck and left. I called him and that has been 3weeks ago and he has not yet responded. My wife emailed him about some things and he lied about the door handles. They put closet door handles on our 2 bathroom doors. He lied and said maybe the other handles were put on the closet by mistake. A LIE!!!
