Called Military Plumbing July 2nd to check my 80 yr old mother's hot water heater. Tech came and said needs replacing and the cost would be $2000 plus a senior citizen discount of 10% as advertized, plus the electrical box needed to be moved up to accommodate the new heater. I gave the ok, so the next day he came with 2 heaters, which neither would fit. So, he got a third and said it would be more expensive, but I would not have to replace the electrical box, so the electrician would not be needed. He called after replacing the heater and said he could not get the water heater running and I would need to contact an electrician. I did and it cost $298.00. I called the technician from MP and told him he tried to wire it wrong and all that was wrong was he cross wired it. He said he would reimburse me the money for the electrician, this was July 5th. Aug 1st I reached out and said I have not received the $298 for the electrician and he stated he was sorry but he told me at the beginning it would be $500 for an electrician. I said yes, but that was for moving the electrical box and we did not have to do that. He stated the check is in the mail. Here it is August 9th 2022 and I still have not received the check. Here are the facts. I was quoted $2000 for a hot water heater with a 10% senior citizen discount, plus a $500 electrician to move an electrical box. He came back with a heater that cost $2480.00 and did not give my 80 yr old mother the senior citizen discount and left the hot water heater without ever checking to see if it worked. He then called me and told me I needed an electrician to get it working. The electrician that came out told me the reason it would not work it that he had the two wires cross wired. I have pictures the electrician sent me. From my perspective they were super nice, polite, and personable people, however I question the integrity of the company to stand behind their word. Bottom line if you decide to do business with this company you better get everything in writing because their word is in question
