In 1989, Thomas Miller and Jay McIntyre partnered together to create Miller & McIntyre Custom Builders, Inc. Both partners stem from a construction background dating back to their years at Damascus High School in Damascus, Maryland. The two met in high school and reunited years later discovering that both were interested in going into business for themselves. Both brought years of experience of working in construction within Montgomery County.

One year later, Miller & McIntyre was featured in The Frederick News Post for their grand opening of their first model home at Clearview, a housing development outside of Frederick, Maryland. Even twenty-four years later, Miller & McIntyre Custom Builders, Inc. still believes in the importance of "quality and craftsmanship." Once they sold their first model home, they soon expanded to building new homes and renovating existing structures across Frederick County.

After twenty-five years of providing superior service across the state of Maryland and District of Columbia, the company continues to expand its services as a full-service general contractor. Miller & McIntyre Custom Builders, Inc. specializes in a variety of services that includes new home construction, major and minor renovations, interior and exterior remodels, carpentry projects, outdoor living designs and landscapes, and yearly home maintenance.

    Five stars does not do Miller and McIntyre justice. They are superlative in every aspect in which I have dealt with them. They are kind, professional and sincere. Their work is meticulous and there staff are consummate professionals. They use outstanding subcontractors though their crew do much of the work as well. My house was left in immaculate condition everyday of the construction period. Any changes requested were approached with the greatest of sincerity and desire to please. After the work was complete, they have stopped by several times to make sure I was happy and to assist in making some changes which I thought would enhance my living space. Miller and McIntyre the best, best, best, best, best!!!!!!!
