    B. Scott Miller builds a nice home but some details were overlooked that I feel a competent contractor would not have missed or dismissed after the fact.

    Grout was not put in a shower tile overhang that led to water intrusion cracking/soaking the adjacent drywall (grout was finally put in but the wall was not repaired).

    Additionally the basement in this refurbished house flooded due to a non-watertight joint of poured concrete (new) and fieldstone (old). When I presented videos and other photographic proof, Scott first said that this wasn't covered under warranty because parts of the old house were involved, then said everyone has water intrusion and then finally said he is "a business man" and had no time to address it (even though this was clearly covered by warranty).

    My insistent communication of these issues was soon met with either no reply or excuses of "being too busy".

    There were other issues but these seemed the most representative of unsatisfactory work and service.

    I recommend you put a clause in any contract with B. Scott Miller that the remaining 5% of any payment is held in escrow until the end of the warranty period, pending satisfactory completion of all warranty work.
