Our experience with Miller Home group was an unmitigated disaster. On our project, they routinely left piles of garbage both inside and outside of our home, did not properly finish painting, tile or baseboards in the spaces they worked on. Eventually, there was such a continuous run of problems with finishes that they credited us with a couple thousand dollars, and we just had them leave . , worst of all , they did not properly seal the pump and pipes carrying sewage from our new basement bathroom, so that the smell became apparent after only a couple months of limited use . They also did not properly install the basement waste pump and it had to be replaced. When we contacted them about the problem, we got no reply and then eventually when we did have it repaired by someone else because we could no longer deal with the smell , and we’re concerned about health issues, they declined our request for payment because they said we had not used our warranty by having it done by them . They are very personable and pleasant to talk to, but don’t let them in your house.

Jason and Miller Home Group, so many great things to say about them. If we could give more than five stars in this review we would, and we mean it. We were first-time major-home-renovation homeowners when beginning the search for a company/contractor to renovate our basement, and after the first round of receiving quotes from several other places, we almost gave up. We decided to look again and received a few more quotes, and what set Miller Home Group (MHG) apart from all others was Jason’s vision and ability see a layout that we could not see ourselves. I think this is the most important thing other potential clients of MHG need to hear...all of the other companies listen to our ideas and gave us a pricing… that’s it…no new ideas, no excitement. Jason said, well hear me out… what if we put the TV wall here (a wall that didn’t exist yet) and this angled wall here (another non-existent wall) to separate the gym from the living space… and before we knew it our space was maximized and it now feels like we have a luxury “five-star hotel” in our basement and we can’t believe it is in our home. Jason’s vision, alone, is a value no other company is offering.
We began with the design phase in late February/early April and wrapped up as scheduled in mid/late August just in time for football season (for our seven-tv wall). From the beginning of construction in June, to the completion in August, we were excited to come home every night to see the progress.
As expected in home renovation projects, there were delays, updates, issues and changes along the way, but Johnny (Jonathan), our project manager, was always communicating with us. Between Jason and Johnny, we could not have been happier with the line of communication, especially as we began to see the space unfold and decided to add-in new things to the project on the fly.
From the design phase to the final walkthrough, we welcomed the Miller Home Group family into our home and could not be happier with the results. We cannot thank them enough. To the entire staff, Jason (Miller), Johnny, Ian, Jason “Kicker”, Dave, Jeff, Terrell, Ben, and Aleish, Thank you!
We kind of feel like we’ve lost friends now that the project is completed, but welcome anyone that reads this review that is considering remodeling their basement to give MHG a call. Truthfully, Jason had my decision made to go with MHG from the initial phone call, and then meeting him for the quote walkthrough and then the design meeting only solidified both of our decisions.
