Find a different builder. They're great until you sign papers. Then the salesman is rude.
They do the extreme bare minimum required by code. Not a lot of pride in the workmanship. Once you sign the papers, customer service is horrible. If you have issues within the 1 year warranty, they will do everything possible to NOT fix the big issues. If you aren't knowledgeable with what needs to be fixed, they will take advantage of that and give you BS reasons. A simple example: our tree died within 1 year and we said we wanted a different type of tree planted in place of the dead one. They tried telling us we'd have to go through a process with the city to approve it first. They went on to say any trees we planted had to be approved by the city. I contacted the city and was told we could plan whatever we wanted on our property. Many in the neighborhood have not had trees replaced, even though they died in less than 1 years. Most tree nurseries will have a 1 year warranty on their trees. Sub contractors for Capstone will access your property at any time without contacting you, even after you become the owner.
