We spent a total of $42,000 on Miracle Windows across three years in the process of replacing all our windows one side of the house at a time.

I have had two significant issues with them, one of which is still not resolved and will likely never be resolved.

    1) Invasive company with promise they don't honor.
    2) Not honoring their warranty, which takes away the value of paying such high prices.

They were so invasive, that even after telling them "no" to buying the two tiny and fixed pane windows we have left because they wanted ridiculous money, that I even caught the (who is one of the owners) trying to meet my disabled wife without me present to try to close the sale with them. It came to the point I had to ask him forcefully to leave the house and forbid him to come back. he was tricking her into receiving him by promising prices that would double by the time he arrives.

One of the work they did is a $5,000 French-door leading to our courtyard. The primary door opens fine, but the second door has had to have three service visits to try to fix it. Every time the service guys shows up with incomplete parts. To this day this door is not to spec and I will likely have to hire an independent contractor to have it definitely fixed.

    Windows and doors
    $42,000

The window themselves are fine, and the installers were great, it took us three years to save the $42,000 to replace windows and doors around the house.

We did everything, in steps, except two SMALL bathroom windows thst don’t even open and for which they want between $3,500 and $5,000 depending on the salesman you talk to. So, we simply decided not to do these windows. YET, the company is bordering on harassement! Calling over and over with specials, and scheduling visits that est up our time with always a ridiculous price.

I catch them setting appointments when I’m not here to see if they can close the sale while I’m not here.

NOW I’m really Pissed and I just ask the salesman to leave our house and not come back.

I’ve reached the point where I would even been concerned about them cheating on the materials to close that sale. Whst a shame that I’ve lost complete trust because the material seems really good. We need a different contractor/distributor.

    Window replacement quote
    $0

I was looking for quotes to replace 6 windows in my home. I schedule a visit for them to come out. They expect you to have hours to sit and listen to their sales pitch, asking you irrelevant questions about your home, utilities, etc. she wanted to show me some lengthy demo. I asked for information on quality to compare to other companies and windows and was told no. When I said I didn’t have time for the demo but would like the quote, she grabbed her stuff and walked out saying they can’t give quotes without making the customer listen to everything. Waste of my time. I wouldn’t recommend even calling them!

    Windows
    $27,000
    2 days
Absolute horrible experience and getting worse!

Part 3 and last part of 7572 Old Kings Rd. S review.
Check your building permits: my job cost total on the permit is $19,084.00 this is almost $8,000 LESS then what they have actually charged us! The job cost total put on the permit determines how much a contactor pays for said permit. Plus a total like $27,000 on a house like mine for just windows COULD alert an inspector or someone else to something not being quite right. They lead us to believe that the permit cost was SUBSTANTIAL which is partly why they had to charge so much and that there is a lot more red tape in Florida to get a permit because of the new codes. The actual cost for our permit was $154.00. Would have been a bit more had they included the TOTAL COST as the permit states but according to Art Griffin our project manager, who did NOT show up during the job for ONE SECOND, told myself and the City Inspector that the permit we have did not include the LABOR which is what caused the almost $8,000 discrepancy. (Remember our outside installer said he makes about 11$ an hour and he was at my house for 2, 8 or 9 hour days.

Last thing: the quality assurance guy from Regency Plus Inc. The guy that does the final quality check on our windows RETIRED 6 months PRIOR to supposedly giving the all clear for our windows in our home right now, which were made for our home this past June.

Oh ya! And our sliding door came from Canada!!!!

We have asked for a full refund as their website says there is 60 Day Money-Back Guarantee and they have refused. I don’t want to return the windows because the first take out stressed our home enough (emotionally & physically)! Certainly am not wanting to do it again anytime soon. God willing the company, its partners, etc. will do what is right and this writer will be able to say they did and we can part amiably.
The points to this review were written approximately 3 weeks after install. Today is Oct. 23rd 2014. We have not come to resolution. Bottom line is stay is I would stay away from this company if I were you. Their design to me is flawed for Floridians because bugs can come in. One of the locks on our casement window is already broke. Paint is chipping off the handle if another.
The install did not include any shims, so a few screws and caulk and weather striping are holding my new windows in place and "protecting" my house from the bugs and the moisture. The weather striping is not uniform, meaning some windows have one strip on one side, totally randomly selected and some have two strips and some have three and few have four...none have four on the inside.

    $27,000

    Horrible experience part 2

Part 2 of 7572 Old Kings Rd S reviewPoint # two: All the windows in my home say Regency Plus Inc. I called Regency Plus Inc. It is located in PA. The woman on the phone said that MiW is one of their dealers & that they leave the Warranty up to the dealers. I am not sure what that does to us legally. I AM SURE that we were told MIRACLE WINDOWS THEMSELVES MAKE THE WINDOWS! There is a video on Miracle Windows website that has a clip from the Miracle Window Factory making the windows! NOT REGENCY PLUS INC. At NO time was this 3rd partyish Co. mentioned during the sale! I say “ish” because the 2 owners we have spoken to have confirmed (as we discovered on line) the owner of Regency Plus Inc. Gary Fanelli, is actually a partner in Miracle Windows. Regency Windows Inc. is actually Conservation Windows. This is the pretty green & white warranty on the website and that is used to sell at the kitchen table. I am not sure how this affects the warranty in its entirety. I do know we have since been to Lowe’s and their price for their best windows installed with the patio door total cost would be max $10-12k I do know there has been NOTHING that we have seen that warrants an up charge of $15-17,000! NOTHING! Even IF the job was done as they promised! I do know I NEVER wanted white because of the fading white does and because dirt and marks show up so much more on white. I wanted tan. They sold us white stating they would be crisp white and stay that way. The windows are actually an off whitish/ shaded white color. Are colors other than white more expensive for companies to make? The weather striping on the other hand IS STARK WHITE! I do know the windows have been in for a few weeks now and there are white STREAMS coming from each side of one of the windows in the back of my house onto my house! It may sound silly but it REALLY is just overwhelming!
Point # One; The warranty. When the truck showed up and all was not lining up, I read the back of the pink bill of sale (YES ALWAYS DO THIS PRIOR TO ANY SALE SIGNATURE! LEARN FROM WHAT WE DID NOT DO! IN THIS CASE, THIS FINE PRINT WAS ON THE BACK OF THE PINK SALES SLIP). There are two sections I will expose now: Limitation of Warranties: The SELLER makes no guaranteed warranties with respect to the PRODUCTS purchased under this CONTRACT. (Contradicts what we are sold doesn’t it?) PRODUCT warranties are limited to the manufacturers’ warranties (remember what the woman from Regency Plus said on the phone). All material warranties are as stated by the PRODUCT manufacturer’s warranty. (Wait a minute! The manufacturer and the SELLER are supposed to be one in the same according to the owners’ we spoke too AND according to their website AND according to the sales guys AND the project manager Art Griffin) The next paragraph explains how the SELLER will assist the BUYER in making arrangements to implement the warranty coverage and that a manufacturer’s warranty is available by mail if we (THE BUYERS) request one. Then it says: For all PRODUCTS sold and installed by the SELLER, (hmmmm…in my case the SELLER was MIRACLE WINDOWS but the INSTALLER was an OUTSIDE GUY) the SELLER offers to the BUYER a one-year workmanship warranty on installation labor. (WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE! What happened to LIFETIME?) Then it says: Failure of the BUYER to make payment pursuant to the terms of this CONTRACT voids and nullifies all warranties. THIS CONTRACT CONTAINS NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRENTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
A little further down there is an Indemnity and Hold Harmless heading which states: The BUYER agrees that after the COMPLETION DATE, the BUYER will assume all responsibility for the maintenance and use of the PRODUCTS installed by the SELLER. (hmmmm…maybe this is actually helpful to us because the SELLER did not ACTUALLY install…nope…) The BUYER agrees that he will indemnify and hold harmless the SELLER, its successors-in-interest, its assigns, its agents, its employees, its suppliers, its contractors and subcontractors (Wait! Not supposed to be ANY of these!) from any and all responsibility for damage to property or bodily injury or death which in any way arises out of the maintenance or use, functioning or malfunctioning of the PRODUCTS installed under this CONTRACT.
Again we are not sure what this does to us legally, we are finding out. We ARE SURE THAT we wish we had NEVER heard of Miracle Windows & Sunrooms. MiW & Sunrooms owners claim to have 4 to 5,000 satisfied customers in this area. We encourage you all to take a closer look at your own situation. Everything I have experienced tells me they have covered their own butts encase of any situation, whenever they chose, they can point the finger to another and not uphold anything...makes me the one that is supposed to dish out $27,000 feeling vulnerable and deceived!

    Remove and install new windows
    $27,000
    2 days
    Absolute HORRIBLE experience!

I live at 7572 Old Rd Kings Rd. S. Miracle Windows & Sunrooms did work for us. They INSTALLED and REMOVED windows for us. They did NOT build anything! The price we were charged for WINDOWS was OVER $27,000! PLEASE read on! We were sold on their 3 very convincing points:
The BEST warranty which is for the lifetime of the home, INCLUDING any and all labor and is transferable to a new owner.
The BEST miracle windows which are MADE by Miracle Windows themselves and not from recycled material which is why their white will be pure white and NOT “shaded” white.
The BEST miracle installation! By THEIR miracle employees.
Our order consisted of 13 double hungs measuring 36 x 36 ½, 2 Casements measuring 35 x 25 ½, 3 double hung windows measuring 72 x 36 ½, (which made up the big picture window in the front-they said an actual picture window would cost way too much), 1 double hung measuring 24 ½, x 61 ½., 4 sliding left to right windows measuring about 68 inches wide by 61 inches tall, and 1 -6ft. sliding glass door.
When the truck pulled up without a Miracle Window logo, I said to myself “Ok here we go!” Knowing that companies usually use their trucks as an advertisement source as well as for its natural intended use. So I asked our installer how long he has been working for Miracle Window. He replied four years. I saw the Miracle Window T-shirt and just figured this truck they had not had time to put the logo on yet or the “real” one was in the shop, something of that nature…The installer told me he would have this job done in 2 days and moved superfast! I told him they (Miracle Windows & Sunrooms) told me it would take 3 days and that I am NOT concerned with time, I am concerned with QUALITY. As I observed him instructing the 2nd young man on very BASIC steps I asked this young man how long he has worked for Miracle Windows at which time he answered “This is my very first day.” I literally could have just cried at that point! We (my husband Jeremiah and I) spoke extensively at the kitchen table during the sales process about this exact thing! Unexperienced people installing windows at our home! They ~ each sales person and the project manager EACH stood on the 3rd point EMPHATICALLY that THEIR OWN PROFESSIONAL MIRACLE WINDOW EMPLOYEES do the work! And that we would have everything JUST short of an EMUCULATE installation by THEIR PERSONALLY PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED EMPLOYEES ~ keying in on the conditions of Florida as they are Floridians themselves, etc.

So…I, always giving the benefit of the doubt said to myself well…there is a first day for EVERYONE, surely he has gone through the Miracle Window TRAINING the three previous men so confidently spoke about ALL their guys being SO professionally trained. Remembering, now we also spoke to two owners during the sales process as well - THEY themselves reassured on the phone that it would be a pristine WONDERFUL experience fulfilling all three points that make them the BEST in the industry, after all our TOTAL charge was over $27,000! THAT price told ME it would be MIRACULOUS- who would pay THAT much for anything less than THAT right!? I asked the young man how he got the job and he said he was picked up by the key installer from the Job Source Center this morning. My windows are SO scratched up, half of the window frames have weather stripping on the inside and the other sides do not. The striping is not cut at the same angle as the window frame is built, so it just LOOKS bad- the whole job does on its own. RIDICULOUS when one holds the STANDARD in mind to the DEGREE we were promised and to which they want us to pay! The installation does NOT match the price! Not even close! Some of my windows tip back in toward the house which means any draining water will rest INSIDE the frame…I started a punch list like Miracle Windows says to do if there are any complaints and ONE set of windows has 16 items! I was too overwhelmed to continue with it! Just SO the opposite of what they sold! We have had some conversations with a couple of the owners since then and they keep just wanting to blame the installer! Totally oblivious to the fact that the installer was supposed to be THEIR professional team! Over and over and over they went RIGHT into blaming the installer. We (my husband and I) believe the installer did the job he was paid to do. After all is said and done for the installer, he said he makes about $11.00 an hour. He is a father of 3 young boys who he coaches in football. We did not pay HIM to do a MIRACULOUS job. We paid MIRACLE WINDOWs & Sunrooms. There is more but I just can’t discuss that now. I have pictures of the gaps that are between my house and the windows and NOT shimmed as the papers from Regency Plus Inc. explains is the proper procedure…Miracle Windows lied about having their own employes - they definitely contract out! See my next review about the warranty and our disappointment regarding the quality of the windows. (Not enough room here)
