I think I have done all future customers a favor by reporting Mister Freeze and their employee Mina to American Home Shield. They will be taking them off their subcontractor list. First they come out for a second opinion and the tech leaves without any notification. Second AHW called and spoke to Mila and she told them they were never at my property....gee I have the guys name and number for when he came out 12/11, so we three way called and when I asked why she said that she couldn't come up with a fast enough excuse for lying, she claims she submitted the report yesterday after telling AHW they never went! Who does that?? Then I asked to speak to Manager and well of course there is not one, but she did say I can send an email, yeah an email I'm sure she has access to and will delete. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

American home Shield warranty company has them on their payroll of sorts. They came out to fix my ac and the first words the tech spoke coming in the front door was," did you pay your deductible yet?" I explained that my heater works but the outside condenser stopped working. Without looking at anything he said it's probably needs Freon. We charge $95. a pound and AHS only pays $10. a pound and it could take as much as 6 pounds so are you able to pay for that today? Of course if that will fix it. So he opened up the house furnace and then made a phone call. He spent over 3 hours on the phone getting instructions on how to fix the ac/ furnace. Only after 2 hours did he go in the backyard to check the condenser. He completely re-wired the inside furnace and had wires going everywhere. I asked what was going on and he said he was wiring around a short. I told him it looked rigged and was not except able. He wired the blower motor to always run and disabled the safety door shutoff switch. When he was leaving he insisted I sign the invoice stating the previous tech sabotaged the unit. I said there wasn't anyone but you working on it. He got mad when I refused and unplugged the unit when I told him the fan blower would not shut off. He said have someone else fix it then left. Now I was left with a broken ac unit and heater.

By Wayne W.September 24, 2020Repair the A/C$125
Came out because the Insurance Co. sent them to work my A/C. Did some checking changed a capacitor the system worked but the technician said it need at least 4 ls of refringent or more at $95.00 per pound but if it needed more than 4 he would only charge me for 4, now that's a red flag if ever saw one. I refused and call a friend who is in the business but only does commercial work. It only needed 2 lbs. The motor now sounds like it is about to die, it did sound good before but not as loud. I have been trying to get the insurance co (American Home Shield) to send someone out to take care of it as I think it should have been replaced when the technician was here. It has been about 2 weeks now of getting the runaround by the insurance co. Never allow Mister Freeze near you property.

By Susan H.September 10, 2020Fix a/c$700
Same issue, was supposed to call when on their way, didn’t, then texted when arrived. Their excuse was they ‘had a cancellation’ (@ 9:00 am?) told me within10 minutes that the unit had leaked 4 lbs of Freon and needed a chemical wash. They said insurance company only pays $10 per pound, I was responsible for the other $360. Then said chemical wash not covered but I would get a ‘special price of $250’. I called a neighbor who owns heating and A/C company (had to use insurance company contractor). The neighbor told me they charge $99 for 1st unit and $40 for the second, meaning my special price was especially higher by $110. I decided to have neighbor do the service and ask for a 2nd opinion. On the unit. Mr. Freeze guys packed up and refused to give me a copy of their estimate. I now have to wait for them to submit their service report before anyone else can be sent out. I’m out $100 deductible and a/c still not working.

I would NEVER recommend this company. First off, I was told they would call me 30 minutes prior to showing up which never happened. They just showed up and sent me a text when they were already at my door. They were here for about 1 minute NO JOKE! They didn't even turn on the UNIT to see where the water was leaking out of. They just climbed up on my roof and took a picture and said they would order a part for it to be fixed. When they submitted authorization to my home warranty for coverage they denied me because of lack of information that was submitted. They just indicated that it was broken and not repairable, didn't even mention a water leak. I wasn't surprised because they didn't DO ANYTHING when they came besides take a picture. Very disappointed and now I am out $75.

Apparently, I had the same issue as others. The fan went out on my ac. But before that, no issues with cooling at all. Technician was sent by AHS. They said I needed new fan. No kidding. But then wanted to sell 4lbs of freon. I declined their service. Called 3 licensed ac technicians after that. They all had the same question...how could they test freon levels when the fan wasn't working??? Watch out for these guys. I also reported to AHS and now I'm wondering why they were even sent.
