Was a very nice guy; however, did not complete job. Once received all the funds to complete job, I could no longer get a hold of him. He told me funds needed to be paid up front for cabinets and counter tops because he has to pay when orders. What was not completed and was paid for was: electrical, water hook up, insulation in attic, shower, vanity, toilet, window & door not finished, and kitchen counter tops, cabinets and many smaller things. Jeff Mitchum also put a moldy door to our so called bathroom. Never received the materials to finish the job either. Stay away from this contractor.

It was exactly as Aaron K. describes above. He wanted half down to start the job and the other half when he reached a particular point of progress. I would say about half way. After Jeff got the money he disappeared. Other contractors would not even consider finishing the job because of the poor quality of his work. For example none of the cabinet frames are square. It was obvious he planned to do us wrong from the start because when he built our cabinet frames he did not put any of the braces that would be needed to install drawers. We ended up paying the granite company directly for the granite Jeff did put a down payment on. We paid him in full already but had to pay an additional $1400 for granite guys to bring granite and install. He still owes them money for the granite. Needless to say court case is pending and I’ve learned there are several parties suing this man.
