We ended up hiring Marc because he was subcontracted out through the other contractor we interviewed. He was very eager to get our business. He was hired to lay new lvp flooring in a split level house with new baseboards. We asked repeatedly if there was anything we needed to do in order to prepare. We were told we could use our kitchen through the renovation, NOT TRUE. We had under estimated the amount of mess that would be associated with the renovation, we had tile in the kitchen. The only drop cloth that was used was a small one to cover our counter. Nothing over our furniture. Nothing to contain the dust. Our kitchen was a COMPLETE MESS when they were done. Really our WHOLE HOUSE was a mess. There was dust EVERYWHERE! There was a layer of dust an inch thick on our stove, refrigerator, couch, etc. We had to wash down all our walls. They damaged our walls when removing the baseboards. They actually offered to fix, but i just wanted therm out of our house. We had to call them back THREE times. Each time resulting in longer lengths of time for a call back with endless excuses as to why it was taking so long to get back us. Pretty certain some of the baseboards were not new. Had to call him back for the baseboard because there was a gap between the baseboard and floor. They filled it in with caulk instead of removing and replacing with new boards which we paid for! There was no waste, i.e no extra lvp flooring leftover factored in. Baseboards not cut to length. Flooring not cut straight. Flooring not connected properly. A year and a half later, the flooring is separating in SEVERAL spots and we're pretty much screwed. I'm not one to write negative reviews like this. But if he was unable to just lay flooring and new baseboards, I'm not sure I would let him renovate a BATHROOM! We have three and recently had one renovated. He was certainly NOT an option! JUST AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!
