    House Remodel
    $100,000

We hired MLC Remodleing to do a full house remodel in April 2018. Mario gave us an estimated timeline of 3 months and the house is still not finished. It is 10 months later. We were in a time crunch to find a contractor and hiredMLC. The workers have no respect for our property and have broken numerous items. Thus far a antique light fixture has gone missing, a sink has been broken, expensive tile has been ruined. The town has contacted us because they left garbage all over our front yard. When we contacted Mario, he just piled the garbage in our garage for months to the point where it stunk when you opened the door. The workers have no respect for the property. They leave their trash all over the floor and new counters. Our dishwasher has been dented, our new farm sink is scratched, and 100 year old floors have been ruined. When we call or text, often our messages go unanswered. Mario underbid our job and we have now had to pay for many things out of our picket. For example: he budgeted $1200 for storm window which in actuality cost $4300. His crew were washing tiling compound in our sump pump hole and clogged the sump pump beyond repair. When we went to the house my husband stuck his hand in the hole it was filled with tiling compound, paint and Urine. They replaced the sump pump with one of inferior quality. Our basement has flooded ruining a few items because they left the sump pump unplugged. Generally, they have treated our house with disrespect and now we have failed inspections and are unsure when they will be finished. We have asked multiple times for timelines and are never given a straight answer. He is now out of compliance with our contractor having applied for an extension. Most weeks there is no work being done. I would advise anyone thinking of using MLC Remodeling to go with a different company. Our experience has been a nightmare.
